Killer Be Killed album info

Nuclear Blast Records have announced the details surrounding the self-titled album from the supergroup Killer Be Killed, which is set to be released on May 13.

The supergroup is formed by Mastodon's Troy Sanders handling bass, The Dillinger Escape Plan's Greg Pucciato on vocals and guitar, former The Mars Volta's Dave Elitch on drums and Max Cavalera on guitar.

Personally I can't decide whether this is going to be awesome or dreadful, Cavalera has been very hit and miss in recent years.

Sounds like it has some incredible potential, but I have never been a fan of Cavalera (minus some very early Sepultura) and his song writing, so idk how this will sound. Hopefully he gets some involvement from the other members on the arrangements.

Really excited for this. I'm a big fan of Mastodon and The Mars Volta, and I'm sure that Puciato and Cavalera will make awesome contributions as well.

I agree that the spice of Mastodon and Dillinger gets me excited but if Cavalera gets involved with the lyrics then it'll suck. Don't get me wrong, I love old school sepultura but Max hasn't written anything decent since Soulfly 1

It has that crusty vibe to it. The way they described it is "It’s a bit of Sabbath-y doom, a bit of thrash, a bit of hardcore and punk" continuing, "Of any of our bands, it sounds the furthest away from mine" so expect it to be eclectic at least.
