Oh boy, here we go.
Gonna be awful
Digging: Owen Pallett - In Conflict
I've been enjoying a lot of it actually.
Wow, Gravedigger was cool. Maybe this album has hope. Still listening.
The singles are the worst songs.
Actually I liked "C.A.N.C.E.R." but not so much "Naysayer" and i'd say "Broken Cross" is the worst song on the album.
Youth is Wasted on The Young is pretty awesome.
Digging: Toothgrinder - Schizophrenic Jubilee
This album is jumping between awesome and boring nonstop, inconsistent as fuck so far.
Better than Daybreaker though!!1!!!!
Better than Daybreaker though!!1!!!!
I don't have Daybreaker rated because I haven't finished the full thing, but it would probably be a 2.5 for me based on the tracks I've heard.
This album's sounding like a 3 to me so far.
Nevermind, just finished listening to The Distant Blue and Youth is Wasted on the Young. This is going to be a 3.5
The vocals on "The Distant Blue" are ridiculous.
I still dig the vocals on Gravedigger the most.
Based on the singles I've heard I'm enjoying this so far... I don't see where the hate is coming from. Then again these are the first Architects songs I've listened to so maybe their old stuff is better, idk...
Digging: D'Angelo - The Black Messiah
Solid 3.5 so far.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. Some really sweet spots, some really bland ones. It's feeling about a 3, unless it grows on me.
3.5 through and through, not as good as Hollow Crown but still a damn good jam.
'Based on the singles I've heard I'm enjoying this so far... I don't see where the hate is coming from. Then again these are the first Architects songs I've listened to so maybe their old stuff is better, idk...'
Listen to Nightmares and Ruin. This band can do some serious damage if they really stepped up their songwriting.
Daybreaker was my favorite of their releases :
Looking better than Daybreaker.
Such a good album.
Gravedigger and The Distant Blue are great (those vocals), but the rest of the album is fairly average.
some neat songs on dis
Man, some people just complain and hate just for the sake of it, there are some inconsistent songs and shit, but it's a really fun album and a great time overall, stop the fucking hate train.
Digging: Angels and Airwaves - The Dream Walker
This is one of the best albums I've heard in a long time.
I dig it. It's somewhere between Daybreaker and Hollow Crown both in terms of production and writing, and I'm very ok with that.
this is boring as hell.
Pretty good pretty good
Digging: Horse Feathers - House With No Home
i dont wanna be that guy but seriously this is so fucking frustrating, its like they are so close to make a amazing album like Ruin but they refuse to go that extra fucking mile.
Digging: Modern Witch - Unknown Domain
Can't get over this album right now/ how much dope shit has come out recently. Comeback Kid, Architects, and honestly, Buried In Verona's new album just had some shockingly catchy and sick moments too. I'm overwhelmed right now.
This is both awesome and crap at the same time, I'm not sure how to put it into words.
Liking it more than Daybreaker. Prob a 4 from me. The Distant Blue is an instant fave. Some iffy tracks tho.
YOU ARE THE REASON WE ARE BITTER AND THEN SOME BLEUGH!
this is a pretty solid album. better than I expected.
vocals stink. Architects are no longer relevant.
I actually don't know how I feel about this... It's very all over the place...
Better than Daybreaker, but way more inconsistent.
Digging: Confession - Life and Death
A damn fine record if you ask me. "Colony Collapse" and "Castles In The Air" are unbelievably good.
i'm so bored and high i'll listen to this right now
Digging: Techno Animal - The Brotherhood of the Bomb
first song is ok
yeah this is definitely better than the singles made out
Digging: Andy Stott - Faith in Strangers
"i'm so bored and high i'll listen to this right now"
hahahaha awesome. I wanna get high and listen to this. no supplies tho.
So... not a comeback album then?
I doubt they'll ever have a true comeback album. Just with every album they'll edge a little closer
Saying that, this is probably as close to the Hollow Crown sound they'll ever get
album is great, better than daybreaker def. Some rly awesome songs here, among with few borring ones.
Digging: Boris - Boris At Last -Feedbacker-
I see. Oh well.
best hope I see for this band now is exploring a new sound in the vein of the more atmospheric stuff on here because it's been three albums of yearning for the hollow crown sound and it's just not gonna happen
I'm feeling this will be their last album o_O
I don't know why they'd be so prolific if they didn't love being a band
daaaamn the vocals on the last two tracks are insane
I love it
I can dig it
These guys really hate organized religion and for the most part I get it. The corruption in 95% of organized religion is well documented.
gonna check, i dig these guys
Worst screaming vocals I ever heard. I hate it.
The vocals are the worst part by far. Album sucks unfortunately.
Madness this is probably his best vocal performance yet
haven't listened to these guys since Hollow Crown but Gravediggers is badass, going to listen to the rest later. i'd be stoked to find a metalcore album that got me interested in the genre again
Digging: HRVRD - From the Bird's Cage
alright nevermind just listened to three more of the songs and it is all painfully similar, vocals get very annoying too. too bad these metalcore giants cant write a dynamic record
The vocals are definitely terrible. Sam just sounds worn out and like a broken fucking record on the majority of songs. Also
what is this 'blegh' shit? Furthermore it's painfully obvious as to what lyrics Sam actually contributed, I'd say Tom should be
writing them full time now but this band really should have just called it quits a long time ago.
he sounds average on a few songs but on Youth Is Wasted on the Young, The Distant Blue, Dead Man Talking...
Fuck, there is so much unnecessary hate. This is one of the BEST albums I've heard in a while.
"Tom Searle has stated it's because 'we're all lost. Everyone's just trying to find their place, and hopefully we'll all get there eventually.'"
