I don't know about the Athens show, but I attended the Thessaloniki gig and the mosh pit therein got out of hand several times, I haven't seen such passionate audience in ages.

To commemorate Mark Reale (R.I.P.), the band had his guitar case on stage and people shouted his name constantly.

As for Riot V, they are in perfect shape, they played stuff from their hard rock period (WHICH SLAYS!!) and songs from Thundersteel, Privilege of Power and Immortal Soul.

Their fill in guitar for that tour is actually a good friend of mine. You guys should check out his other band Moon Tooth, they totally slay.

^^The Blabbermouth piece says that Nick was Mike Flyntz's student (during the age of 9-17). The Thessaloniki concert showed that he was a very good student.

While introducing him to the audience, the new front man Todd Michael Hall said that the Greek audience granted Lee his first trip to Europe, he was so thankful about that on stage, it was one of the moments everybody - band and fans - cherish from live shows in small clubs.

So this is the band you're talking about: http://moontoothny.bandcamp.com/music

Yeah, they're tight!!
