New He Is Legend Song
2014-01-31 by Sputnik`s Resident Deity and Peacekeeper | 67 Comments

Coming off of two years hiatus and two years of touring, North Carolina band He Is Legend have released a studio recording of their song, "Something Witchy"--the first new song for the band in five years. "Something Witchy" is taken from their upcoming, as-of-yet untitled new album, to be released sometime this year on Tragic Hero Records.

The song, previously heard only at live concerts, can be listened to at the link below and bought on Tragic Hero's website.

Um yeah, that was awesome. It's amazing how much better the song sounds when Schuylar actually SINGS the song...saw them play this live on their most recent tour and man, did he ever just totally phone it in live. Ruined about half the songs they played because he didn't really "sing" the songs. Still, stoked for this album and hoping there are a lot more raucous tunes coming with this one being so much more of a mid tempo one.

They need to do what they want, but it seems to be the general consensus that I Am Hollywood will forever be their best work, and I agree. I still listen to it from time to time, it will never grow boring. This already sounds a bit dull but I'll definitely check the album out.

@calc good song, ended up listening to the whole album again in the background.

@meatsalad mix of nostalgia + the music video will forever make the Seduction #1 for me. plus i think it's their catchiest song

I don't think Schuyler can scream like he did on IAH anymore. That being said, 'It Hates You' was such a phenomenally catchy album that I seriously don't miss the screaming. I do miss the more straight-forward post-hardcore of IAH, though...songs like "Dinner With A Gypsy" and "China White."

This song reminds me of "The Primarily Blues." I love the return of the female vocals, too.

Song sounds good and I bet it's much better within context of the album. Legend got some new kinda shit on the horizon, trippy as ever

You said it. As someone who had been a huge HIL fan for a while, I hated It Hates You when it was first released. I didn't want to hate it, so I forced myself to listen to it until it sunk in and now it stands as one of my favorite albums of all time.

It hates you definitely took some effort to get into, for sure. Even now it's not an album I listen to frequently. But it has some pretty wicked tracks that rival the best tracks on I am Hollywood. Mean Shadows specifically. 60% of the time, that song blows my mind every time.
