It was alright. Sounds like they're bringing in a few more black metal touches for this album, which is kinda cool

I like the black metal turn on this song.Like the ending riff in Blow your trumpets Gabriel.I hope it is more blackened than their last 2 albums.

I always want to dislike Behemoth for some reason, but time and time again they make that impossible. This is an awesome direction for them.

I was going to make a snarky remark about the supposed "black metal" influences in this song, but hot
dang does this not suck. Fast Behemoth is back. I really hope the rest of the album is like this
because Behemoth's mid-paced style has never been interesting to me. If this album ends up sounding
like their older stuff then it'll definitely be good.

edit: And I love how gravely his voice is on this.

the song is good but those lyrics are pretty dreadful and they kind of kill it for me

shouting blasphemous lines with no cohesion and breaking it up with a few latin phrases isn't that impressive

From what I see, The Satanist is going to be Deathspell Omega-nized version of Behemoth, minus the metaphysical and noisy stuff.

Might be good I guess.

Unless I've got a lyric vid on-hand I don't pay much attention to the lyrics, so Nergal's "Satanic phallus" fascination probably won't have any effect on how I view the music. Probably.

Yeah there are black metal elements but they've always had those, "black metal as fuck" is a bit of a stretch.

Listening now and it's pre sweet so far, better than most of their recent stuff.

This is the best Behemoth song I've heard so far. But the lyrics are pretty lol worthy.
