Trailer is promising, Sam sounds good again.
Sounds brutal. Glad to see they are sounding good again.
Digging: SUMAC - The Deal
Hmmm... Might just be me, but I think these guys need to simmer down on the spitting out of albums. 2011, 2012, and early 2014. Hopefully this'll be good, otherwise, they risk burning out entirely.
I quite dug their last album so I'll keep an ear out for this one.
Digging: Suicide - Suicide
Not gonna get excited about these dudes again. Still listen to their older stuff though
Hard Hollow Crown vibes too, new single on Monday so p stoked.
Sam's got some "ruin" vibes goin on here. Good things.
Damn pls be like 'Ruin' haha, too much to ask I think.
It might be. But shit, would that be glorious. Not to be nostalgic. I enjoy hollow crown and daybreaker, but these guys need to get a little more complex again.
Hmmmm, I thoroughly enjoyed Daybreaker, but this sounds like it could be a good return to form.
Kinda looking forward to this.
Wish they'd be a bit more adventurous with their artwork tbh.
Well, now I have to listen to them on the way to work.
Haven't listend to them since Hollow crown but this sounds ok but who the fuck know's. We'll see..
I honestly see these guys pulling another Daybreaker. Nothing wrong with that though, but I don't really think that they'll ever do a return to their Nightmares/Ruin sound.
Digging: Phantogram - Three
This sounds nothing like Daybreaker.
Fiercely anticipated lol
But this sounded decent. Daybreaker had it's moments too though and turned out pretty bland so I won't get hyped
most hollow crown they've sounded since hollow crown but I'm still sceptical
Kinda stoked but dunno, their singles have always been decent, its just the other tracks that have been questionable on the past couple of albums
Great another band using the "//" thing for titles.
More Ruin, less The Here and Now, pretty please.
Damn Sam sounds awesome in that trailer
This reminds me of when "these colours don't run" came out, I just hope they can keep that vibe going throughout the album
Digging: Zola Jesus - Conatus
Daybreaker wasn't half bad.I see potential here.
It's just funny to me that they released such an amazing album with Hollow Crown then deviated so drastically. And now, years later, the band has retreated to that exact same point in their career. Talk about regret.
Holy shit what the hell was that.
Damn, this sounds pretty good. Vocals in particular sound like they have a bit more life than they have in the past.
I thought it was a different band at first.
Not avaible in my country? Fucking. Fuck. Fuck...
The last one was pretty good I must say. Looking forward to hearing some new stuff
FUCK YES!!! clip sounds awesome, hope they can bring back the intensity of Hollow Crown
Ruin vibes man, so cool.
They fixed it. Okay yeah that sounds good. I'm also hoping for less pop-structuring and clean vocal choruses
Just as long as it's better than Daybreaker. Not a bad album by any means, but very underwhelming.
Is this actually going to be insane?
HYPE TRAIN CONFIRMED FOR CHOO-CHOO, MOTHAFUCKAS
Sadly I just found them just last year so all I know is daybreaker, gotta do some homework clearly, but nonetheless I'm still stoked m/
Check Ruin, Hollow Crown and Nightmares immediately dude.
Damn, that trailer sounds awesome. Sounds like they've improved compared to their last 2 albums. Really looking forward to this.
Just because there's a blast beat doesn't mean it sounds like Ruin.
Sams vox were tinged a bit lower, I just got a bit overexcited cos BLASTS
An it's time 2 teech u a lessen dat yor Neva gone fuckin ferrrgiiiiiiiiiitt
Bum bum danah Danah peeeeeeeeeeeeew
i really hope this will be good
Architects never used blastbeats before iirc, can't say that their inclusion means they're going back to the Ruin sound if that's true.
They're not going back to the Ruin sound.
But do they Math?
There's blastbeats all over Hollow Crown lol
I've dug their recent stuff much more than the first three albums so I'm keen
nightmares was the only good thing they put out...
You are so wrong with that statement.
I just want the tech back man. Hope this album brings it.
Hopefully, dunno if they've become too accessible to completely polarise their newer fans by doing that.
I guess it does sound kinda heavy doesn't it? I'll keep my ears open for this.
Digging: Frankie Knuckles - His Greatest Hits From Trax
certainly enjoyed that.
band is lost
They didn't sound lost in that thirty second clip for the first time in five years.
heres the whole song .
DOPE. Thanks for posting.
will be their best since Hollow Crown for sure
Pretty decent, but that guitar lead is easily worn out by the end of the song.
Don't know how I feel about that track, Sam sounds awesome but there's so much chug.
yeah I agree I'd be disappointed if that were the best song on the album but the sound's good though so we're halfway there already. that was the main problem with daybreaker.
Sam does sound awesome. Thank christ cuz I was starting to think he wouldn't last much longer.
Its def the most aggressive they've sounded since HC, track is solid I s'pose.
Still no tech.
