Band can do no wrong. It's cool on Sputnik to hate this band the last couple years so no doubt this will attract a lot of negative comments.

ef - ceremonies
envy - insomniac doze*
sigur ros - ( ) or takk...
slowdive - souvlaki
yndi halda - enjoy eternal bliss

* harsh vocals but instrumentally similar, envy are probably the best around at crafting heartfelt postrock crescendos

Great track. As far as cathartic music goes, this band is pretty unmatched. Them guitar layers.

Also never understood why their last album got so much hate? It easily contained some of their best work to date. I mean the track
"Faiseurs De Mondes" is probably the best thing they've written. IMO of course.

Ok, so now all Neige has to do is rename his band because this isn't Alcest anymore, it's ambient poo.

Thanks minty I had never heard envy, they're great. The vocalist gets pretty repetitive with his harsh vocals, but he does them well (and he sounds pretty similar to Neige.)

I feel like Envy are to screamo what Alcest are to black metal.

Oh and
Envy - A Warm Room

Listen to that now if you haven't already. You'll weep.

Someone needs to take the start time out of the YouTube URL (the "#t=133" part). Sounds good though.
