At 6:00A.M. on Christmas morning, progressive metal band Dream Theater released a link to a free torrent file of a live CD on their official Facebook page. The disc covers songs which were played on the the "Dramatic Turn Of Events" tour, but did not make it onto the "Live At Luna Park" album released last month.

Of the new Ytsejam release, the band says:

"FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 25th, 2013 – 6:00AM EST

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM DREAM THEATER

TO OUR FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD!

It is because of all of you that
A Dramatic Tour Of Events was such a success. We enjoyed playing to you all each and every night on the road!

As a special “Thank You” we are releasing a compilation of live tracks that were not included on
Live At Luna Park. With these now being available, you have a complete documentation of all the songs that were played during the tour (with the exception of cover songs.)

Happy Holidays, and we look forward to having you “Along For The Ride” in 2014.
~Dream Theater
"

Yeah hehe. Haven't had a chance to fully listen to this atm, but from what I've heard it sounds pretty good. It is a fanclub bootleg CD though, so bear in mind the production isn't as good as an official release, but hey, it's free, so can't complain

Also notable in being the only live release of The Count of Tuscany.

Not really that notable, they didn't release any live material from the Black Clouds tour.

Well yeah, true, but Count is considered by many the best of the album, plus it's an "epic". The others songs range from meh-solid on Black Clouds, but the Count is one that I found really cool to hear a live version of

"Whys it funny that it was released at six."

They have a song called 6:00 that starts with a looping quote from the movie "The Dead", where a character says "six o clock on a Christmas morning" over and over again

Wish I could have heard Another Day, Ytse Jam, Under A Glass Moon, To Live Forever, and Learning to Live live.

Anyways, i'm glad they're still doing these sorts of releases now that Mike Portnoy is gone. I doubt we'll get full live cover albums anymore though.

@beefshoes, it's not exactly gonna blow you away, but if you're a fan of the band there's some cool stuff to be found here. Also, it's free, so yeah I'd say so
