Wow they moved fast. Song is pretty solid, of course, but that was to be expected.

Sounds pretty sweet. You can't even tell that it isn't Parkin really.

Yeah these new vocals don't sound as pants-pissingly angry as Jon's and are definitely a little more controlled, but the band is in top shape

I guess keeping the same lineup after breaking up and forming a different band didn't seem practical to them.

Even though the chick said it wasn't true, it's still hard to recover from the initial accusation because a lot of people don't bother to hear anything past that. They probably just had to sever any ties they would have had to the story. Also, maybe creative or personal differences happened, ya never know.

It sounds like Gaza with some of that sweet sweet murky-death-metal guitar tone. the vocalist has much more range but I think I still would've preferred it as actual Gaza.

Sounds pretty much the same as Gaza, sweet as expected but still, Gaza shouldn't have broken up. That whole rape situation with Parkin was bullshit, especially in the details.

Chick wasn't lying, he threatened her with libel charges if she didn't retract that statement. Say what you want, but I know her personally and I'm from the same North Boise area that she is. She's a hardcore feminist and I'm not the biggest fan of her but that story wasn't made up and he did try to rape her.

"She's a hardcore feminist"

Yeah, that really doesn't help the credibility of the story to begin with.

The thing is, she's a feminist. Which lately means as much as a lying piece of shit that would do everything to get attention.

Also she's a tumblr/blogging/otherbullshit feminist, which voids any credibility

I'm not sure what this has to do with anything tbh... Just because you know her personally doesn't
mean that she wasn't lying. Unless you were in the room when he tried to rape her you know just as
much as the rest of us lol

I think I read somewhere that there was a bit of creative difference that tore the band apart. Jon just didn't want to spend the rest of his career writing horribly depressive music.

Song slays, though.

But surely if charges were pressed then it would've eventually come out that he either did or didn't rape her for sure because the evidence one way or the other would have come out? If I were in that situation I would've just said "bring it on" and called their bluff as, if it really did happen, then they would be scared of the evidence against them coming out.
