A Lot Like Birds stream album

2013-10-28 by Jacob Royal STAFF | 44 Comments
Post-hardcore group A Lot Like Birds is streaming its newest release No Place through Diffuser.fm, a day before the album's release tomorrow. Stream the record in its entirety at the following link:

http://diffuser.fm/a-lot-like-birds-no-place-exclusive-album-premiere/

No Place is decidedly different from the band's prior albums, featuring experimentation in terms of instrumentation, genre and vocal stylings.

Those interested in pre-ordering the album might be interested in the vinyl, merch and poster options available from the band's page on MerchNow. It's safe to assume the band would appreciate some support there, given the album is treating you the right way:

No Place hits stores tomorrow, and its accompanying tour with NRVRD, Night Verses and My Iron Lung begins on the same day. See the band live on its U.S. run-through if it's coming to your town:

'Kuroi Ledge' is the best track on here for me at the moment. I do like 'No Nurture' and 'Connector'
too. Kurt's hook in 'Connector" has a 'In Shallow Seas We Sail' era Emery feel to them.

Wow all these comments are fucking terrible...how about giving an opinion about the music? I think it's pretty solid, but the singer still holds them back

the experimentation in vocals is about 8-10 minutes of spoken word throughout

Not necessarily-- Kurt's melodies are way different from what he typically offers, though I do get what you mean.

Album fuckin rules. Nocturnal go listen to your cookie cutter sturgis babies. I can't see anyone that is proficient at any musical instrument not respecting this bands effort and musicianship. And their fuckin drummer is incredible, he's a drummer's drummer.
