Experimental pop act The Flaming Lips are streaming their new EP Peace Sword at Exclaim!. The EP is inspired by Orson Scott Card's science fiction novel Ender's Game. The eponymous song is the theme for the book's film adaptation, available at a theatre near you on November 1.

The EP will be out digitally on October 29 through iTunes, and on CD and vinyl on November 29 through Record Store Day's Back to Black Friday.

Stream the songs 'Peace Sword', 'Is The Black At The End Good', 'Think Like A Machine, Not A Boy', 'Wolf Children' and 'Assassin Beetle - The Dream Is Ending', here: http://exclaim.ca/MusicVideo/ClickHear/flaming_lips-peace_sword_ep_stream

They really toned down on the dark vibes for this one.
I think it sounds maybe like a cross between Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi.

Pretty good stuff here if you're a fan.

I liked what they did with Dark Side of the Moon and I somewhat enjoyed Transmissions From the Satellite Heart, perhaps I should pay more attention to this band.
