Riot announce new album
2013-10-16 by Voivod STAFF | 12 Comments
US heavy/power metal veterans Riot will release an, as yet, untitled new album in 2014.

The album, whose recording sessions will commence in December 2013, will be released in Europe by Steamhammer/SPV and in Asia by Avalon/Marquee.

Commenting on the upcoming record, bassist Donnie Van Stavern stated that there is a solid possibility for the new material to be released under a moniker other than Riot. The consideration of a different band name stems from the fact that the late Mark Reale (R.I.P.) was the Riot's founder and only running member since the very beginning.

Heard everything from Thundersteel and before, but only really liked Thundersteel.

Got to check out the rest, as even their latest stuff seems well received.

Solid band but haven't listened to their albums since the mid 90s I think. Good news though.
