this is a such a nice jam.
Digging: Thank You Scientist - Maps of Non-Existent Places
this is a such a space jam.
Waiting until the official release to check out the entire album, this song is sweet though.
Digging: The Knife - Deep Cuts
I've never heard Davey utilize a vocal melody like this one. I really dig it.
Seriously, the 7th grader in me is so stoked for this record. They were so fucking awesome live last Saturday, this record is gonna rule
Digging: Pianos Become the Teeth - Keep You
irrelevant article the album has already leaked
Listened to the whole album and it's very good. Definitely a return to form.
Yeah the album is killer. Somehow they manage to keep pulling out new melodies when I expect them to just rehash old ones after such a long career.
Not gonna listen to any more songs until the album comes out.
when are they going to officially release a stream?! I have listened to the album through about ten times and have a review ready to post. The wait sucks.
Digging: The Smith Street Band - Throw Me In The River
They've already released 70% of the album on tons of different websites.
Its stupid. I just want an official stream so I can post my review!
I want to read your review when you post it, but in short what did you think of the album? I've already listened to it a few times and I'm still forming a solid opinion on it.
stream stream stream
Digging: Kayo Dot - Coffins On Io
My opinion has increased after 5 listens and has decresed a bit. I'm sitting at a solid 3.8 now I think. Basically I feel as if this album is Crash Love done right.
EDIT: My opinion increased for the first 5 listens and after a few more has decresed a little.
I think there should have been less reliance on electronics in the latter half of the album. Overall, this album is very solid. Not a bad track IMO. I was hoping for more moments like Deep Slow Panic; maybe another ballad towards the end, because after The Embrace, the album goes full speed until the end. I guess my major complaint is, sometimes the instruments get drowned out, especially the bass in certain songs. But that's not fault of the bands, I suppose.
Boring as fuck.
The tempo and the use of gang vocals kind of reminds me of Degausser. Obviously this is no Degausser but still, does anyone else hear that or just me?
Meh, Crash Love was fun in its own right for me.
I feel like Jade had more influence on this album (electronics, production) but I don't really mind
that; don't want them to go back and make the same album twice.
Digging: Iceage - Plowing Into the Field of Love
It kinda bugs me that everybody compares this to Crash Love because I really can't get into that
album, and it seems so awkward among the rest of their discography, yet i've REALLY enjoyed all the
songs from this album so far. I don't know how to feel.
Fadedsun! you are pretty spot on my review. Glad to see someone see the album atleast a little similair to how I do.
I was one of the few who enjoyed Crash Love I guess. But this album is gonna be solid. I refuse to listen to the leaked version. This song rules.
crash love and decemberunderground killed AFI. maybe this can redeem them
Crash Love is actually what got me into AFI. Weird, I know. Still, I love all their material regardless of when I got into them. AFI possibly has the pickiest fanbase I've seen.
In my opinion, this album is everything that Crash Love should have been.
Title shouldn't sport "Another," this is a music news site, we shouldn't make it sound as though we're annoyed with the news. That's what the comment section is for.
lol ok bro
