Sounds like Opeth. In that it didn't go anywhere at all. Lame.

People are commenting on Soundcloud that this has a great deal of King Crimson in it. I have to agree that some parts sound uncannily close to early 70s KC, but it's still Ihsahn wandering ever further into his own creative world. I personally think this guy's solo work is becoming increasingly better with each consecutive release. "Das Seelenbrechen" should be excellent at least.

his vocals aren't what they used to be but hey you can't have it all I guess, instrumentation is fantastic

I didn't hear any King Crimson, but I did hear Opeth and later Enslaved.

NaCL is also an excellent song. On this evidence, "Das Seelenbrechen" looks to be very promising.
