Fall Out Boy have released the first single, 'Love, Sex, Death', from their upcoming album, Pax Am Days.
Pax Am Days is set for a digital release on October 15th but will also be available as a limited edition duo disk with their reissue of Save Rock & Roll.
The single can be heard in the link provided below:

it's gonna be a fast punk album. song sucks though.
Digging: Waxahatchee - American Weekend
Are you fucking kidding me? What is this supposed to be? Is the whole album going to be like this?
so the whole album is gonna be like hardcore punk? posers can try to rip off minor threat and black flag but will just end up shit
hardcore punk? noooo....
"so the whole album is gonna be like hardcore punk? posers can try to rip off minor threat and black flag but will just end up shit"
it sounds nothing like those bands and everyone in FOB comes from a hardcore music background, believe it or not, so they're not being posers about anything. it's just not very well executed here imo.
I knew the guitarist and drummer were in hardcore-esque bands before this...figure some of that influence woulda shown.
My mind was blown when I saw this. A new album so soon... and every track is only about a minute and a half long. Such a huge change from their last album!
Honestly, it's not that bad of a track, besides being derivative. Would much rather see this than the approach they took on the last album.
they're still together? and relevant?
"so the whole album is gonna be like hardcore punk? posers can try to rip off minor threat and black flag but will just end up shit."
are you an idiot or

"they're still together? and relevant?"
"are you an idiot or "
Well, andcas? Are they?
they're still selling out stadium sized shows and making albums so yeah
can't say their comeback is worth a fuck though album wise
how exactly are they saving rock and roll?
retarded conversation bout to ensue?
"how exactly are they saving rock and roll?"
you're about 12 months late.
racetraitor was cool
arma angelus was ok
birthright was XVX kewl
fall out boy made 1 and a half decent albums
enabler is tite
@calc right on the money
inb4 rage, oh wait.
now that i actually listened to the song, it's not as bad as i thought it would be
i praise them for trying to play actual punk, but the end result isn't that great
"fall out boy made 1 and a half decent albums"
try three amazing, one half okay, and the newest crap
eh it's... okay I guess
everything andcas has said itt
Digging: Tidal Arms - Tidal Arms
didnt their last one come out like a month ago
what this fuck is this
Yeah they left the punk scene the moment they made that queer ass song, SUGAR WE'RE GOIN DOWN SWINGIN ... these posers don't have what it takes
They were never a punk bad, they were a shitty bad group of pop rock for 10 year old girls, just like the jonas losers or tokio brothel. Boy bands are more punk than this homo band and boy bands are far from being punk.
well this is just an "EP" but still. probably will be better than save rock n roll (that wasn't hard to do though)
lol @ tokio brothel

Not really digging this. Was expecting vocal contributions from pete since he usually does the more agressive vocals on their past records (quite badly might I add)
Digging: Front Porch Step - Aware
i didn't use the word aggressive to describe patricks vocals...but ok
song is fucking atrocious
Really interesting song. I mean it's definitely nothing they've done before. I dig it.
verm got banned right quick lol
Cry more, guys. It was really under-produced and the vocals weren't great, but it wasn't terrible. It's not good enough to be worth talking about, but only like half-bad punk rock.
Digging: Lake Of Blood - Omnipotens Tyrannus
the production is the only good thing about this
dramatic improvement unfortunately
Very hardcore sounding but man those vocals do not fit at all
not a fan of the song, and this EP and (i assume momentary) change in genre has really come out of nowhere like what
band should play pop punk
Digging: Weatherbox - American Art
Cool tune. Surprised they're releasing a new album already, but if the whole thing sounds like this song I'll maybe give it a shot.
Digging: Mansions - Doom Loop
i liked it
This is easily the best thing they have done since infinity on high. I'm actually looking forward to this. They are trying to bounce back from that shittty last album maybe? Who knows.
I like it. It seems fucking retarded when you go into it (stripped down, raw production, bluesy vox), but it's interesting at the very least if you keep an open mind. I mean, instead of going in and doing what they definitely know how to do from other bands--turn overdrive up to "10" and put on some harsh screams--they went and did something fairly natural sounding.

Personally I enjoyed it. I am a big fall out boy fan though.
I like Fall Out Boy, I like hardcore punk...but this song just doesn't sound together.
On another totally unrelated note, has anybody heard that new TBS song, Flicker Fade? Adam's voice sounds like it's slowly recovering from the shittiness. I watched a couple more of the songs they played that night. Sounds like there's less sandpaper in his throat and he doesn't completely fail when trying to hit the highs in old songs. Hopefully this new album will be decent...
As far as this FOB song... Eh. Couldn't get jiggy with it. The vocals didn't seem to fit to me.
TBS sounded like a totally new band when I saw them at Riot Fest. Adam looked and sounded really healthy for the first time in years and they put on one hell of a show. I'm actually expecting good things from them again and have high hopes as well.
They came here but I opted not to go because I thought he was just gonna sound shitty like he usually does... Then I stumbled upon the youtube videos of them live at the starland ballroom and they actually sounded great. They just have a good energy about them now. The new song has this climatic ending with adam and john going back and forth. The nostalgia just rushed in. Now if only Brand New would show signs of life (record wise), I'd be completely set.
Wasn't bad, vox were a little out of place but at least Patrick's a good singer lol. I doubt there's anything they could do that wouldn't harbour them hate at this point by you people xD.
Sounds like somebody put baby in a corner
