Ayreon mastermind Arjen Lucassen has used his personal YouTube channel for introducing the ensemble of distinguished artists participating on the upcoming Ayreon album The Theory Of Everything.
The album is expected to hit the stores, physical or digital, on October 28 through Inside Out Records.
The list of guest musicians is as follows, so brace up and take a deep breath ladies and gents:
Troy Donockley (Nightwish):
Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, Seventh Wonder):
Sara Squadrani (Ancient Bards):
Steve Hackett (Genesis):
Michael Mills (Toehider):
Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil):
JB (Grand Magus):
Marco Hietala (Nightwish):
Keith Emerson (ELP):
Rick Wakeman (Yes):
Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater):
John Wetton (Asia/King Crimson):
The album art is amazing as usual. Quite stoked for this.
Looks good. Was hoping for some Roy Khan action as well though, that's too bad.
Good, but I was hoping for Astrid Vanderveen
JB from Grand Magus was a welcome surprise.
The (double) album will be good as always.
Can't wait for it, it will probably be my AOTY.
I'm really excited for this. This might be my AOTY as well.
Surely they mean "Rick Wakeman (hell Yes!)"?
Just by looking at how many '70s prog rock juggernauts are participating, I expect the sound of the new album to shift significantly towards their domain.
proggy news are welcome!

Wetton? FUCK YES! Wow thats some line up with the oldies. Pretty cool, hopefully its better than the

What if they try the more modern Arjen interpretation of prog? :D
Gunna be awesome!
Jordan Rudess? He's doing vocals?
As always, Ayreon is back with good music. The Voice o JB is nice, I always think his tone could fit perfectly with Ayeron. The albums that he recorded with Spiritual beggars are real jewells, because his participation
Jordan Rudess is bringing his lame as hell synth solo style
Because nobody likes those things called Hammond organs anymore.
Sorry, just the truth.
Still pumped for this album. Maybe if we're lucky, Rudess will just use his continuum instead. It sounds better anyways.
Nah people do, but prog metallers tend to veer away.
That has been a common weakness of many prog metal bands. Unfortunately, they just don't see it the right way.
Will be cheesy as fuck, but I'll prolly still dig. Diggin' the prog guest spots too

Hammind organ, fender rhodes, wurlitzer, mellotron, grand piano, harpischord, rip
Still nice to see Rickman and Emerson involved, along with Steve Hackett and John Wetton. It may perhaps be the closest thing to a group of competent people.
To those dissing Rudess' style, listen to the new Levin Minnemann Rudess album, it's awesome.
lte spin off
I used to be the one defending labrie and rudess, I can't defend labrie anymore, rudess I still can to
a large extent, but he really just needs to use the other facets of his musical style in DT and other
projects, especially in his solo's, thats why I love solo's like the Blind faith and Bridges in the
sky ones which has the hammond organ tone, etc.
I saw the trailer for the new rudess project and it seems like LTE
What a great team!!!
