New Matthew Good Album/Tour
2013-08-16 by KerfuffleinaHussle | 17 Comments

This fall, Canadian alt rocker/singer-songwriter Matthew Good will be following up the eccentric Lights Of Endangered Species with a new full-length album and supporting tour, according to new details that have surfaced around the web. The new album, entitled Arrows For Desire is due for release on September 24th according to Amazon.com, where pre-orders are now up.

Other information on the album, including artwork, tracklisting, and song previews for all tracks can be found on Amazon.com at this link. Unusually, the Amazon song titles appear to claim that every song on the forthcoming release features the English prog-rock band Yes. It is unknown at this time whether this is a printing error or not, as, also unusually, no information or pre-orders on the album seem to be available at Matthew Good's own site.

The lead single for the album, 'Had It Coming', can be heard on Matthew Good's official Youtube channel:

...As well as a live acoustic performance of the track 'Guns Of Carolina' on The Fox's channel:

Finally, tickets for the tour are on sale here.

Nah I agree, but some of those samples sound pretty awesome so I'm pumped for this. Sputnik needs more

For some reason I thought this was gonna be Matt Good of From First to Last Fame and was worried for a sec.

Not like that. I've just never listened to anything after Avalanche.

Oh, fair enough. Hospital Music and Vancouver are really great albums as well as Avalanche, and White Light... has some nice straightforward stuff. Lights... is weird. I'd recommend you give a few songs a listen, but to each his own

I might, but the singles off them didn't impress me at all. And this new one is just terrible.

Throw up 'A Silent Army In The Trees' if you have any interest still, that's a definite career
highlight for me. Dont remember any of the singles being particularly strong so there is that. This
particular song is worrying, though. Fingers crossed this album doesn't suck, his voice sounds like
it's lost all substance

I think Lights of Endangered species is one of his best albums to date. Takes a little bit to sink in, but the listen from start to finish is quite the experience.

Pretty hard for a guy to lose 'political ranting bullshit' when he has focused a good part of his life being interested in that
sort of thing. The guy would have been a history teacher if not a successful artist. He takes passion in those topics,
it's only natural that he'd write about it.
