Wow this is really bad and the production is probably the worst part.

The guitars are lost in the mic completely. The drums are way too high in the.

The riffs are very weak too and hold little emotion.

Lame mixing, but album is epic as dogshit. It's much more dynamic than their other material and is a huge step up in the songwriting department.

Pretty solid release and a quite enjoyable ride. Don't like the fact that everyone cares so greatly about the instrumentation though, it's what the band does. They have their sound, everyone compares like crazy around here.

Why wouldn't people care about the instrumentation while listening to music? Seems like that's the biggest part of it, especially in metal.

The problem is that's what everyone just focuses on. It's quite obvious the reason I listen to mostly metal is instrumentation. But they are a band that definitely focus way to much on orchestration and less on technical skills, I will give you that.

It also doesn't help that the orchestration sounds incredibly synthetic and unnatural, at least to my ears.
