Kayo Dot, in conjunction with NPR are currently streaming 'Thief', the third track from the bands upcoming 96 minute concept album Hubardo. Hubardo is tentatively scheduled to be released this fall. The production of the album is entirely funded
by pre-orders, and the band nearly has enough money to release.

FUCK I wanna hear this now, but I won't have internet access beyond my phone and won't be able to for a week
Also, I asked Toby himself about the possibility of a cd release, and he said no, unless a label displays interest

If only this band could ever live up to MotW...I just can't seem to get into anything these guys release. It's not bad, it's just not for me.

Frankly I find myself preferring Kayo Dot and I'm not even that big into either group. They're just less stuffy "weird jazzy metal" and more just comfortable doing whatever.

This is cooler then MOTW stuff because they mix the jazzy parts in with the metal rather then have them seperate.

Also, Kayo Dot is THE SHIT on acid. Maudlin, not so much.
