Progressive Metal titans Fates Warning have revealed details of their follow up album to "FWX" which was released 9 years prior, the longest gap between albums for the band. The forthcoming album is titled “Darkness In A Different Light” and is scheduled for release on the 30th of September in Europe, and the 1st of October in North America via InsideOutMusic.

This marks the first album with Bobby Jarzombek (drums) as well as the return of former guitarist Frank Aresti.

They're playing near me this winter. Might have to go see them. With nine years between albums, this might be the last time they're out.

Almost certainly. I'm pretty sure it will trash Dream Theater, too.

I hope that musically this picks up where Arch/Matheos ended. I'm a bigger fan of Arch on vocals, but still psyched for this album.
