Lady Gaga Announces New Album
2013-07-12 by Dylan S. | 71 Comments
Pop sensation Lady Gaga, who has been relatively silent the past couple months since the cancellation of the remaining dates of her Born This Way Ball due to a tear in her hip, has announced her much anticipated third full length, ARTPOP.

Late last night Gaga released the first publicity still for the album (revealed to not be the cover) along with the first single release date of August 19th, album/app preorder date of September 1st, and official ARTPOP release of November 11th.

The album will be a album/app experience, in a similar vein of Bjork's Biophilia project. Gaga claims the app is, "a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology."

Along with being featured in her first major film role with Robert Rodriguez's "Machete Kills," 2013 is looking to be a big year for Lady Gaga.

She has a good voice, better than a lot of the pop artists out there, and she writes her own songs which deserves credit in itself. I just wish she would change up her style more rather than going further and further into this electronic dance heavy pop music thing that everyone is doing.
Born This Way had potential to be good but ended up just being an overproduced glob of sounds masking her voice. Even the piano ballad got mutated into a dance song.

Hear she is recording a jazz duet album with Tony Bennett though. Might be good....? Might.

I read somewhere once that she wanted to release this album is two parts. One of the more radio friendly pop stuff and one of "experimental" songs. Her definition of experimental is vague though.
I have no clue if that idea was followed through

This is not good by any means, she is just a lame copycat of madonna which uses a bizzare aesthetic to caught the attetion of the masses. She is just an overrated attetion whore who makes shallow music and is praised by naive people which don't know anything better. Also her fanbase is annoying as fuck ( once a fan of her told me that she has a better voice than beth gibbons and besides that fan said that she was the david bowie of this generation, lol, that fan was just a freakin moron). Mentioning her and Kate Bush or Bjork in the same phrase is a fuckin insult to kate bush and bjork.
