Pretty epic but just decent overall. Can't say that I was a very big fan of their last one either so wth do I know. I enjoyed the lyrics quite a bit though.
| |
nothin spells epic like a 4 minute breakdown
| |
had never gotten around to listen to these guys...this is pretty good
| |
They aren't shit without JR.
| |
This song started out fine, and went on just as good. Great song, solid, not too much wankery and stuff, synth feels like a return to the roots for them, kinda reminds me of the one on Abstract Art. The leads feel just fine too. Great freaking song
| |
lol
| |
this fucking shitty dicks.
| |
Did that seem like the same breakdown rhythm for 4 and a half minutes to anyone else?
| |
boring
| |
it's a Born Of Osiris song.
| |
The song was half decent, I suppose. It was in dire need of some refreshing riffs and less of the perpetuating breakdown being played throughout the entire song.
| |
synth feels like a return to the roots for them
^ there were plenty of synths on the discovery. in fact, the song sounded pretty discovery-y which is fine by me. its one thing to think it sucks, thats fine. calling it just one long breakdown though is false and lazy
| |
idk why people liked their last album sounded like all their other shit and this was boring as hel
| |
Song is a tad on the bland side. Still lookin forward to this tho!
| |
stay positive dummerboy!
| |
yeah man i get so mad at parents sometimes when they tell me to take out the garbage i say fuck you in the ass mom and then i go listen to the discovery
| |
I hope that not all songs on their new album are like this though. This feels good as one song. If they're building a whole album upon this structure well, they shouldn't.
| |
Too much breakdown.
| |
"stay positive dummerboy!"
Hey, somebody has to keep the optimism going! :D
| |
Definitely more breakdown focused, still enjoyed it
| |
I usually get sickened by a constant breakdown nowadays but that song was fucking cool. Those leads are killer.
| |
"Idk why people liked their last album sounded like all their other shit"
lol no
| |
song is lol cheesy
| |
boooooring
| |
Yeah, these guys are really suffering from the loss of their guitarist.
| |
Garbage band
| |
Somebody said synth reminds them of Abstract Art? Thats my favourite song by BoO time to listen
| |
Band has had it's run, time to retire.
| |
Does it sound anything liem Woa is ,me
| |
I really enjoyed The Discovery, but all I really hear here is just 00000 00000000000 000 000 00000 00000 0000 0000 00000000 00 0000 00 000000
| |
DID I NOT FUCKING TELL YOU 2013 IS THE YEAR OF THE OSIRIS?
| |
the rhythm is quite dull but the leads are fantastic. Overall the song is good.
| |
so many of these bands could be so much better if they tried
| |
Epic parts are epic
| |
That was really meh. :/
| |
Some of it was cool but yeah, can tell Jason's presence is missing.
| |
That was okay I guess, but there was hardly a moment in the song where there wasn't mindless chugging. Hopefully the rest of the album is better because I actually dug their last one.
| |
great song, I like me my junz.
| |
That harmony part was nifty.
| |
Lee>Jason. They need to go back to the AHP sound.
| |
Bland.
| |
if they could merge the sound of ahp with the discovery, the new album could be pretty great but it looks like the loss of jason is having the effect everyone expected
| |
vocals are sooooooo bad
| |
dont see why everyone is going on about jason. this sounds like it would fit right in on the discovery, and to my knowledge he only wrote a couple songs on that and some of the solos.
| |
Pretty boring
| |
that was like the same boring riffing the entire song
| |
This song had one of the dumbest intros I've ever heard.
| |
Vocals are soooo bad [2]
Idk what happened, I really enjoyed his vocals on the discovery, now he sounds like any other deathcore vocalist. Leads were cool, but other than that, this song was really bland and boring.
| |
Definitely a little chug heavy, but sounds different than most of the shit being put out these days. I'm semi-excited.
| |
Yeah wait what the fuck was that intro?
| |
was pretty turned off by the intro, but the rest slayed in usual BoO fashion
| |
Well that was underwhelming.
| |
moar like Boring of Osiris
song sucked
| |
Holy shit, so many breakdowns that I thought the song was almost over at the 2 minute mark, so boring. Haven't been into anything they've done other than their first ep The New Reign. It was 17 minutes of awesome, and now they write full albums of suck.
| |
hmmm....I wanted to like it, but I just don't really. Definitely feels a little underwhelming and seems very much stuck in the shadow of the Discovery. Hoping this isn't what the whole album sounds like.
| |
yeah would have rathered it with less breakdowns but it was still pretty sweet. leads are nice
| |
this is amazing.
| |
Best song they ever made.
| |
u dum?
| |
u dum? [2]
| |
u dum? [3]
| |
u dum& [2]
| |
u dum? [5]
| |
dat niggas dum as shit
| |
u dum? [6]
| |
Name one song that's better?
| |
literally every song from the discovery
| |
recreate by 1000% but I still enjoyed the song.
| |
pretty decent.
| |
@ moshpotato, I could give you at least like 15 better songs they've made, how about that?
| |
Nah nigga, let this song grow on you and then come apologize to me later cause for some reason this song clings to me.
| |
It's a good song for sure. Still hope that this doesn't mirror the whole length of their new album
though.
| |
I mean, I'm not new to BOO. I'm a fan and I can honestly say this song combines all the strong aspects of their music into one track. I never heard one of their songs with as much energy from start to finish, as this song displays. Like I said before, some people hear a song and not think much of it at first but it can eventually grow on them or maybe become one of their favorite songs. The growing part doesn't apply to me this time because for some reason it stuck with me the first time I heard it.
| |
lol these people complaining about 4 min breakdowns. half of them listen to meshuggah and all meshuggah do is jun down
| |
best song they ever made...
... until now *cue john cena theme music*
| |
this interests me way more than meshuggah and its not that great
| |
meshuggah might be repetitive progressive metal but they don't rape the open chord chug as hard as this band does
| |
simba r u for really
| |
Damn that's bland.
| |
Yeah, song's not terrible but hardly special. I really hope the new album is as much of a surprise as The Discovery was.
| |
You'd have to be incredibly stupid to think this band is better than Meshuggah. I enjoyed The Discovery, but this isn't really cutting it for me. Lame-ass intro and then it repeats wayyyy to much. It'd be cool if the repeating parts were so awesome that I didn't care, but that's not the case.
| |
Band sucks.
| |
wow, they literally chugged for 4 minutes and swept over the top. shit
| |
mad skillz right there
| |
the video/visual thing is so funny
| |
soz dudes
and yeh these guys rape the estring in this song thats cause the synth takes the lead. The synth is actually pretty decent. With meshuggah they just chug and yeh it can be cool but italso can be incredibly repetitive and grating when there's nothing else to take youre attention away from the guitars
| |
im not saying this is anything at all special btw
| |
"reported"
truth hurts agreed
| |
and how is the "breakdown" at 54 secs any different from a meshuggah "riff"
| |
"italso can be incredibly repetitive and grating when there's nothing else to take youre attention away from the guitars"
try listenening 2thalyricz
| |
Song rules can't wait for the album to drop
| |
Song is bad, my opinion is objective, we can all go home now and band will cancel album because it will be bad.
Bad of Osiris.
| |
This band just keeps getting better.
| |
Sad that people are comparing this to the legends Meshuggah.
| |
Shitty song for BoO. I have no doubt that the static chugging was somehow a clever contraption to represent a machine, which is the title of the song. Too bad it makes the song insipid.
| |
his vocals are amazing, even though they sound produced to the brim
it was heavy, it was melodic, it was fun, it had breakdowns. sounds like a good summer song
| |
gross band
| |
I liked it stoked for the album
| |
3/5 decent but not awesome. Too much AHP, not enough The Discovery.
| |
Boring
| |
Name one song that's better?
they have no good songs
| |
I hope this is one of the weaker songs off the album cause this was very underwhelming and boring.
| |
A less than subtle attempt at making the new album sound incredible by leaking the worst song on it by far. NIIIIIIIICE
| |
Not sure if I don't like this song or just don't like this band.
| |
holy fuck
| |
"gross band"
lol'd
| |
not 2 shitty for a filler track, except it isnt a filler track
Discovery was the fucking shit, no way they can live up to that espec after losing Jason
also the vocals wtf couldnt ronnie mix it up a bit
| |
Overall enjoyable.
| |
The fuck is this?
| |
I mapped out the chord progression:
There is none.
Check out fromtheinside's comment if you were looking
for the guitar tab.
| |
If you remove the chugz then this band has no substance, just some occasional widdelywiddelywoo lead work that gets done to death on every song.
| |
I love The Discovery and I cannot wait to tear my car stereo up with this song. I don't care how unpopular my opinion is; this shit is still awesome.
| |
yawn. as usual. band is awful.
| |
The Discovery bored me to death when I listened to it. I actually found this pretty decent. It's concentrated more on the synth than the guitars and I like that, but they seriously need some less repetition. The endless chug-fest from the rhythm guitars made it fell like a endless breakdown with some leads and sythns involve.
| |
The synth works very well. I don't think the song feels like just a breakdown. Hopefully this is one of the more average songs off the album.
| |
I thought it was fun.
| |
haters gonna hate
| |
homos gonna bum
| |
Meshuggah suck as well
| |
u havent heard DEI obv
| |
"Meshuggah suck as well"
lol youre right they're no converge!
| |
i've heard that I track that everyone loves and Obzen and both were unbelievably boring, havn't heard DEI but can't imagine its much better
"lol youre right they're no converge!"
yeah converge are actually good
| |
