Post-Rock Band Caught Stealing
2013-06-23 by Blaizend | 45 Comments
In a bizarre case of piracy amongst artists, Costa Rica post-rock duo Enthralled have been rumbled for stealing at least one full track from Atlanta-based Tyler Krug and then releasing it under their own name, earning a position on a record label and a recording contract for their next full length in the process.

Fortunately, they were rumbled and were quick to remove any traces of their online existence, despite offering several flimsy excuses such as 'we accidentally uploaded Tyler's track.' Their label has also come out against Enthralled, claiming they've destroyed all the remaining copies. Crazy.

would've expected that shit from popular genres but not something like post-rock, also I don't even get why you'd be in a band if your willing to blatantly plagiarize someone elses work...

lol^. This same thing happened with Velvet Cacoon. They stole a whole album from Korouva, and got a record deal with the material. After the record label found out, they signed Korouva and Velvet Cacoon broke up.

I'm not sure exactly, but he did steal a line from Kendrick Lamar's Section.80

no he didn't

that line is originally from a late 90s Snoop Dogg track

It's been sampled several times. By A$ap Rocky, by Kendrick Lamar, by Kanye West, by Jae Millz, by Kid Cudi, and those are only the ones I know about.

Pretty sure you're the person who originally made that statement

How do so many people not know what rumbling means?

5. informal ( Brit ) ( tr ) to find out about (someone or something); discover (something): the police rumbled their plans

Tyler Krug here. Thank you all for reading the article and listening to my music. The situation wasn't fun in the moment, but a lot of good has come from it. I've gained a lot of fans who are really enthusiastic about the post-rock scene. Anyways, I hope you like what I have to offer! Keep it real.
