Filter have started a funding campaign through Indiegogo to raise 40 000 $ for their upcoming world tour in support of their latest record, The Sun Comes Out Tonight. There are several packages that are purchased in return for the contributions, ranging from digital download, signed CDs and gold vinyls to merch packs, coffee with Richard Patrick when coming to one's respective town, VIP combos or creating the setlist for the attendee's show.
Check the promo video created for the campaign and contribute here - http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/filter-world-tour
This is a flexible funding campaign, meaning that even if the goal isn't reached, Filter will receive the amount of money raised.
Also, watch the band's music video for the first single off The Sun Comes Out Tonight, 'What Do You Say' here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE_j5k4urH0
will they be mad if i donate enough for the setlist and just make it "Hey Man, Nice Shot" 15 times?
Take a Picture > Hey Man, Nice Shot
Actually, a lot of Filter's songs > Hey Man, Nice Shot

I remember enjoying them a lot when I was a kid. I'd listen to their first two over and over, but Hey Man is the only one I still remember. Dat bass tho
I wonder how many countries will they actually play in. 40 000 $ is a lot of money, plus the money they get from playing in clubs/amphitheaters in the US and Western Europe is enough to keep them rich for a while. They still have a fan base backing them there. Maybe they plan to use the funds for other parts of the world where club owners can't pay a bigger band like them.

The $250 perk is "Coffee W/Rich"
It would be worth it to just order an espresso with him and after you taste it, you tell the barista "Hey Man, Nice Shot!"
And then just leave.
I really hope this doesn't get funded, it seems crowd funding is becoming more and more exploitative.
This is bullshit. Cram your dumb asses into a van and pay for it yourself.
Yeah, I was thinking of using this with my own band too, lol.
how is it exploitative? if people don't want to contribute they don't have to. If they want to its their money they can do what they want with it.

I'm all for stuff like this, but THAT much money for a Skype conversation? Nope.jpg
isn't the point of touring to make your own fucking money? not ask people to pay so you can go and pay to see them play?
Not as bad as Eisley
"isn't the point of touring to make your own fucking money? not ask people to pay so you can go and pay to see them play?"
You can have a coffee with Patrick and ask him that.
Yeah, it's a weird move coming from a band like Filter. Maybe they prepare some kick ass visuals or something like that and they don't have a label backing them.
Aren't TICKETS supposed to fund a tour?
yeah this is silly, but it's cool to have the resources to do this. everyone knows band's don't make any money unless they're heidi montag
established band on major label can't afford world tour, boo hoo

Andcas would scream obscenities at a twelve-year-old trying to fund a lemonade stand through crowdfunding. Crowdfunding make andcas angry! Andcas smash!
Something about this seems wrong. Aren't Filter popular enough to not need crowd funding?

Coffee with Rich ahahaha

"twelve-year-old trying to fund a lemonade stand through crowdfunding"
this still happens?
SHUT IT DOWN ANDCAS! SHUT IT ALL DOWN!
I'll stop, drop, shut em down, and open up shop
