Did not really dig the breakdown. Other than that, great song. Stoked!
It seemed kind of forced yeah
Not bad. I really hope this album is good. Prophets was a great slab of well-executed metalcore and The Current Will Carry Us was amazing on a completely personal level.
Digging: Lupe Fiasco - Tetsuo and Youth
These guys are ok but this sounds like a less coherent version of a Taken song.
oh shit this is good. sounds like some prophets stuff
I fucking love this. A lot. And the production is really nice.
Is it just me or is the link busted due to copyright issues?
^ It must of just happened, the link worked fine for me about 20 mins ago
Sounds pretty decent; some good guitar work. I'll totally agree that the breakdown is unneeded tho. Also, on this link,
the band that follows counterparts seems to tear shit up pretty good.
Sweet song definitely got me hyped since it sounded like Prophets again, can't wait for this album
Digging: Periphery - Juggernaut: Alpha
not feeling the production tbh. good song nonetheless
fuck to the yus. sounds awesome
Digging: Amber Sea - Infantile Vision
Can't really tell much from listening to this one track. Gots to get it and listen to it properly. Love this band though
Mehhhhhhhhh I feel like these guys could do a lot better
Digging: Nux Vomica - Asleep in the Ashes
Digging: Violent Soho - Hungry Ghost
Link doesn't work anymore, at least for me.
can also be found here http://www.theprp.com/2013/06/11/news/counterparts-streaming-new-track-wither/
Digging: Jeff Rosenstock - We Cool?
The Orchard Music had it taken down, whoever that is
Even though it was uploaded by their own label, wtf
Song is okay. The breakdown is totally forced though, doesn't flow like the songs on Prophets.
Will probably be a more chill song on the album, i'm sure there's better to come.
this song has been done for a while. i remember seeing a video of them playing it live a few months ago
Where's a good place to start with this band Spec?
I dont like the breakdown
@Apollo, seeing as they only have two albums, I might as well show you a song from both and you can decide for your own. Prophets has more of a metalcore, Misery Signal-ish sound while The Current is more melodic hardcore oriented.
The Current: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJEyEdvGQGA
sound aside, The Current has lyrics that are extremely introspective, so if you're into that, definitely check the album out
love the new song !!! hope the album is great ! One of my favorite bands
I really dig it. Album should be solid.
Apollo- Start with the Counterparts/Exalt Split EP... the two songs the have on there are the best songs they have by far
twlichty has been reppin the split for as long as i can remember
they posted a minute clip of a new song/video
i'm honestly so stoked for the new album. sounding great so far.
fuck yeah, sounds awesome
