On May 20th, 2003 Silverstein released their first album When Broken Is Easily Fixed. Now 10 years later, in celebration of the albums anniversary the band has released a re-recording of the lead track 'Smashed Into Pieces'.
The track can be downloaded for free on their website.
And 10 Years of Anberlin. Their 10th anniversary was on May 6th.
i like it better than the original
this actually sounds really good
Digging: Current 93 - All the Pretty Little Horses
Not too bad.
damn this headline makes me feel old.
the bassist was playing The Shape of Punk to Come in the background of the vid!!!!!
oh my word. loved that album when it came out. they should do a rerecording of the entire thing. now that shane's vocals are way more polished it could go from eh to pretty solid.
his vocals are so much better now. I've never heard the song before today but I'm really digging it
10 years of gayness with Silverstein
solid. shane has definitely had a lot of positive progression
Digging: Bolt Thrower - ...For Victory
Pretty cool. Shane's voice, especially his screams, are much better nowadays.
Sometimes I feel like the only person in the world who likes his old scream better.
This is good but I like the original better. The raw vocals and production fitted this song better imo.
I rememba listening to this band before you all. Prob stopped listening to them when you kids started.
Ya its cool not too much of a difference just clearer
Amazing. Love this band.
They should do this for the whole album. Sounds so much better
"And 10 Years of Anberlin. Their 10th anniversary was on May 6th."

Digging: Deafheaven - Sunbather
i remember when i first saw the music video for this on fuse....man i feel old.
best faux post-hxc
Sounds great but IMO it was the rawness and amateurish production quality of the tracks on WBIEF that made it one of my favourite albums in the genre in the first place.
Woah... I loved the original but this blew me away. So stoked to see them this summer!
This was awesome. This band got me into heavier music, and this was a great treat. Thank you for sharing the article!
Digging: Waxahatchee - American Weekend
Happy 10 years.
Digging: City Lights - The Way Things Should Be
I listened to them in 2003 and I didn't like them then.
