UK progressive groove metal band TesseracT have released a stream of their new album "Altered State" on YouTube. The album is set to be officially released on May 28 through Century Media.
I wonder if this will be lame I bet it will.
Digging: Lake Of Blood - Omnipotens Tyrannus
i thought it would be shit but its pretty solid
Digging: Jay-Z and Kanye West - Watch the Throne
Pretty samey throughout. Still solid.
I liked this more than I expected once it got going.
Digging: Jamie Lenman - Muscle Memory
Digging: The Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us Is the Killer
Dillinger is less samey than this.
i know were all just digging the same album
except the first guy.. *stares*
amazing stuff, but I expected nothing less
Eclipse is absolutely wonderful
I mean that lead singer is so garbage is this still somehow good?
it's definitely a big change from Daniel, but Ashe has some chops.
idk, gotta get used to it
ashe grew on me. hes probably my favorite of their vocalists now tbh
I really like Ashe. I also really like the direction this album takes, though I think they need to play things a lot less safe.
Digging: David Maxim Micic - Bilo 3.0
God dammit Insurrection, Yazz Flute is elite you can not question his opinion
Digging: Mansions - Doom Loop
I'll check this out at work tomorrow
This is brilliant
this band blows.
Listening now, I'm so excited.
Wow divisive opinions everywhere. Album rocks hard.
"that lead singer is so garbage"
Can you sing better? No, so shut the fuck up.
Digging: Hammock - Oblivion Hymns
The full on Djent moments are probably the worst part of the record
Digging: Lamb of God - As the Palaces Burn
"Can you sing better? No, so shut the fuck up."
*sniff* just beautiful
bet the singer quits soon. guy can sing his ass off but this band cant keep singers
Yep, it's pretty ironic that their trademark is what sucks most about the album. Leave the Djent to Meshuggah and write a nice riff instead.
31 minutes in it gets good. the ambient bits sound tiring after a bit and the chugging is standard fare
35-37 an Icarus lives type riff.
no harsh vocals. at all.
All valid complaints.
As for their vocalist. This guy will probably stick around for a while considering he only lives like 20 minutes away from the rest of the band. TesseracT will get much bigger in the coming years. If he's smart he'll stay to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
these guys seem to have established a little niche for themselves with this release.
this is a fucking chore to get through
That was so much better than their first album....
Digging: Rhian Sheehan - Stories From Elsewhere
this is a fucking chore to get through
Band needs to go away. How Acle went from Fellsilent to this shit.
Streaming this now. I keep reminding myself that they don't have a female vocalist now.
Vocalist is not that great.
I'm only one song in and already noticing it, which is not good.
His voice is too weak. The soft stuff is good, but anything heavy sounds forced.
"Band needs to go away. How Acle went from Fellsilent to this shit."
tesseract was around before Fellsilent
Digging: Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city
His voice is just right imo.
Chuck I never said they weren't I'm just saying how he went from a great band like Fellsilent to TesseracT.
Some riffs seem pretty similar to previous releases. But this doesn't seem bad. The vocalist is better than Elliot at least. Not as powerful as Dan though.
I truly cannot stand the vocalist. I have tried to give this a go three times already and the vocals ruin it for me. The music itself is lush and calming but.... Fuck, I tried.
Digging: Neil Davidge - Halo 4 Original Soundtrack
"I truly cannot stand the vocalist. I have tried to give this a go three times already and the vocals ruin it for me. The music itself is lush and calming but.... Fuck, I tried.
They have an instrumental version coming out on the same day as the original.
I still prefer Dan for the time being but give this kid a year or two and he'll be on par with Dan if not better.
I don't understand putting out instrumental versions along side the normal versions it seems like an implicit admission of lack of faith in the vocals to engage the audience or not alienate listeners.
Wtf are you on about? You just don't like his voice. End of story.
His voice is awesome! I really like it... he's got a lot of range, could do with a bit more power, but his mellowness suits the music. This band really divides opinion!
Digging: White Moth Black Butterfly - One Thousand Wings
One was better than this. The drummer and bassist are pretty sick. new singer has the range but the memorable vocals aren't there which were abundant on One. Nocturne is pretty sweet though.
this band blows.
Why don't contribute instead of being a knob?
