The never said it was certain when or if they'd release it, but now they're saying it feels right for it to be released, so it will probably see a release sometime this year or next.

That's your opinion, I'm stating a fact. There was a lot of tension in the band at that time. Just read interviews and they'll say, they weren't getting on very well and there was a lot of shit going round.

@Torii - I honestly have no idea.. its deftinitely not their best album but it definitely amazing. Sextape, Rocket Skates, Risk, and You've Seen The Butcher are all killer tracks. 4/5 definitely for me.

It has some good tracks, and the production is really well done. Chino sounds great too. However as far as songwriting goes, it's pretty average.

Not sure whats up with all the hate around here for Diamond Eyes! Diamond Eyes was nearly a flawless Deftones release, one of the best since White Pony. Koi No Yokan, although I enjoyed it plenty, was a little bit of a disappointment.. but you gotta be kidding me about Diamond Eyes, those songs were fantastic. They were progressive, high energy, heavy as hell, crushing deftones tracks to their core.

and yeah its kinda cool to see that there is lots of Deftones love here on this board.

Nah, I feel that Saturday Night Wrist is the near perfect one and the two following are passable and meh.

SNW is their most ambitious album outside of White Pony, but the execution left a bit to be desired for me. still have a fondness for it because it's just so out there at times. KNY is definitely better than DE to my ears, but i still dig DE just for Royal, Butcher, Prince and Risk. Beauty School and Sextape to a lesser extent.

I'm all for it. I think this is a very respectable move on their part. From what I recall hearing, the only reason they haven't released it sooner was because they were waiting for Chi to get better. I'm barely a fan of these guys but what songs I've heard, I've liked the heavier riffs so this will be something I can possibly enjoy.

I read somewhere that Chino mentioned that this wouldn't be released in the near future. They're not really entertaining the idea at the moment. The only thing that changed was that with Chi's passing they will actually consider it now at some point, whereas they wouldn't consider it whilst he was still recovering.
