Zomby double album & new song

2013-04-25 by TMobotron | 15 Comments
After a silent 2012 (ignoring his constant stream-of-consciousness twitter output), Genre-defying producer Zomby has announced that he will be releasing a double-album of 33 tracks. Considering the vast quantity (and quality) of tracks to his name that have never been officially released, the double-album format should be a perfect fit for the producer. 4AD, the label that Zomby's previous full-length Dedication was also released on to much critical praise, claims the upcoming album With Love "moves seamlessly between the dance floor and after-hours emotional introspection, serving as a love letter to the soulful dance music of his past."

The preview track, which can be streamed at the link below, suggests that rather than being a drastic shift in sound as previous Zomby releases have sometimes been, With Love will be an evolution of Zomby's work on Dedication. Somber piano lines and melancholy 8-bit touches flourish over stuttering hi-hats and bass rumblings to show that Zomby might finally be settling into a sound that's all his own. With Love is set for a June 17th/18th release date.

Holy fuck, a Deviant comment!

Don't know if I can take 33 tracks in a row of this guy, considering I found his other stuff pretty hit or miss. Will listen anyways.

it took the longest time for Dedication to grow on me, I'm wondering if this will be an even more challenging listen for me. Regardless, I'm pretty excited to listen to it.

Dedication has become one of my favorite albums, I just love the vibe on the whole thing and I love how the new one is sounding. You all should check this out if you haven't:
