UK hardcore band Your Demise, noted for the release of The Kids We Use To Be (2010) and the fan polarizing Golden Age (2012) have announced they are ending their time as a band.

The band have released a video statement geared towards stressing the positive experiences they have had as a band and will be playing a series of fairwell shows before finally calling it a day.

I'm kinda gutted about this. They were never the most inventive hardcore band but they had some decent tunes and their lives shows kicked a fair amount of ass. TGA blew, but still.

I'm gutted. This band had so much energy live, and were great regardless of their present vocalist. Whatever the hardcore 'elitists' say, they were something different in a dead end scene.

Yeah, all these people saying they were shit with Ed on vocals couldn't be more wrong. Yes, The Golden Age was pretty crap, but The Kids We Used To Be is EASILY their best overall record.
