Ahh heard about this on my way to work this morning and now I have to wait all day to hear it
I really like it, but I feel like I want to hear it in the context of the album before I judge it.
I have really high hopes for the new album, as they're riding a pretty ridiculous 4-album streak right now.
just listened to this for the second time today, so much better the second time around
tis definitely a grower
nice track i like it
First listen was boring but now it's amazing.
yeah it got better for me like the third time I heard it, that's why I feel like it will be way better in the context of the album
that was really good
the album will probably be standard fare for this band i.e. start out at a 3.5/4 and end up a stone cold 5
Very good as usual.
Incidentally, on a radio interview this evening in the UK they labelled the new record teeming with more immediate tracks rather than growers, so we'll see how it pans out. The tracks premiered were fantastic, though, not merely Demons
Digging: Preoccupations - Preoccupations
boring ass song
Digging: Dinosaur Jr. - Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not
I can dig it
Digging: Kyson - The Water's Way
Digging: Pyramidal - Dawn in Space
really good shit.
definitely a grower.
on the third or fourth listen - and it's getting better and better
Yeah it took me a few listens and now i love it.
not their best. but it's the national, so who knows, I might change my mind when I listen to the whole albun
Digging: Architects - All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us
3 new songs.
Listened to this 6 times I think, pretty solid
on about 6 or 7, still not feeling it
I always found The National to be a band you need to be in "the good mood" to listen to.. Song rules
the National is a band for any mood, any time of day
Digging: Bill Withers - Just As I Am
the last minute or so really sells this song's awesomeness
I just can't get into that chorus. Hoping it grows on me when the album arrives
Pretty decent. Agreed hard that in the context of the album the song will probably rule.
fucking a that was great.
That was pretty cool, first The National song i've heard in 7/8.
These guys can do no wrong.
They have a second song out now "Don't Swallow the Cap"
that's more like it
okay new song is classic national. brilliant. demons is great but is definitely going to rule in context with the rest of the album
ya that fucking rules. and Demons has grown on me hard. can't wait for the album.
Digging: The Knife - Deep Cuts
lakes don't give me that shite I never dug these dudes
damn lakes, he gotchu
