The Flaming Lips kill babies
2013-04-04 by Jacob R. STAFF | 37 Comments

The Flaming Lips' latest music video is gruesome, but should we even be surprised at this point? The
psychedelic pop group's video for "Ashes in the Air" is obviously rooted in shock value, but given the
group's upcoming release The Terror and its philosophical nature, it feels like there simply must
be a deeper meaning hidden in all the bloodshed. It certainly isn't an obvious one, though.

Check out the deranged video here, and never see meat grinders the same way:

(P.S.-- Wayne Coyne insists the video will eventually be extended to movie length.)

Remember when the Flaming Lips made beautiful albums like The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi, sang about nice stuff like
pacifism and loving one another, and tried not to take a too ungodly amount of acid? And didn't kill babies?
