earthtone9 stream new album

2013-04-01 by xist | 9 Comments
IV, earthtone9's first new album in 12 years, is now streaming via Rocksound. As with their previous EP "For Cause and Consequence", the album was crowd-funded via Pledge Music and marks a new chapter for a band who, despite critical acclaim, never truly achieved what they were capable of.

Says vocalist Karl Middleton

"These songs are heavy, a bit different to old style et9 but we know that you're going to dig them. It's not 2000 anymore, there's no point rehashing the past. These are different times and we're different as people. This new music reflects that. We've stayed true to what earthtone is, but we've pushed into new territories and shaken the old formulas up."

Vocals aren't particularly good, but the instrumentals are kick-ass.
