Newcastle metalcore band The Storm Picturesque have released a new song and announced a release date for their album entitled "Arrival" after 2 years of delay and secrecy after a trust project gone wrong.
"It is with great pleasure and relief that we can finally announce the release of our debut album 'Arrival'.
'Arrival' was recorded in September 2011. We can only describe the following year as a nightmare of obstacles and issues with the recording that took much longer than any of us anticipated. Unfortunately our trust - and this project - was placed in the wrong hands and suffered immeasurably because of it.
We cannot apologise enough for the lengthy wait, so as a thank you for your patience and continued support throughout this whole process we will be giving 'Arrival' away FOR FREE.
'Arrival' will be released on Friday the 10th of May as a free download. All artwork will be included. 'Arrival' will also be available from iTunes for those who wish to pay for the album and support us. We will also be printing up an extremely limited amount of physical copies for those who wish to add it to their collection. More information on the download and preorders for physical copies will be available soon.
We'd like to thank Durv Viswanathan who mixed and mastered 'Arrival'. This guy not only managed to polish a turd of a recording, but is almost solely responsible for keeping this project alive and always moving forward despite all the headaches he had to endure! We love you mate.
As of now, we are writing for album #2. We have a concept and plenty of new material. We plan on a quick follow up to 'Arrival', and hopefully thing go a bit smoother this time around!
Thank you to everyone for your continued support."
I have their EP but it was just the CD in a blank tray without the cover or anything, they were giving it out for free at a show. Kinda meh. I used to like this music a few years ago but it grew off me. Still wear one of their shirts though, because the design is badass af.
