I love Mike Lessard, so I'm hoping he stays with The Contortionist. I've always been a fan of Jonathan's, although Intrinsic was a mixed bag on his end.

Exoplanet was great but I'm pretty sure Jonathon never wrote anything on that album, just filled in the vox. He was the main influence behind Intrinsic though which was a let down so this could take the band in a better direction

If he wasn't writting the music it won't be much of a loss.
I liked his vocals tho and im mad that he just quits because of a little brat.

"quit a means of making money for your kid, makes sense."

I'm pretty sure that's not on his mind right now. Besides, he has made some money with the band by now, enough to give him a good start on his new direction, i think.

If atomic said that, then i mostly agree.

And yes, it is a responsible thing to do. Not many would give up a career like he's for the sake of their family.

Good, not to put the guy down but I hated the vocals on Intrinsic, especially those stupid vocoder clean parts. Also hopefully the new guy will use an analog synth like a Moog or something. I hated the stupid synth patches John used on Intrinsic, they were so goddamn corny.
