"The book discusses the topics of the lyrical content in the album and
serves as a tool to further inform fans about th stories, inspirations
and the process behind the band's accomplishments."
GOD...and the book is done.
So true though.

I knew it was coming.
|
| |
Cool I love th stories.
|
| |
If he tells the story of how a shitty band managed to put out such a good EP about zombies, count me in.
|
| |
Shouldn't the book have come out around the same time as the album? And I don't think his lyrics are deep enough to warrant a book about them
|
| |
Who is this for? Most of The Devil Wears Prada's fanbase are too young to read anyway.
|
| |
"If he tells the story of how a shitty band managed to put out such a good EP about zombies, count me in."
"Mike Hrancia (vocalist for The Devil Wears Prada) has released a new book entitled One & A Half Hearts that he started around the time their last album DEAD THRONE was released. The book discusses the topics of the lyrical content IN THE ALBUM and serves as a tool to further inform fans about th stories, inspirations and the process behind the band's accomplishments.
|
| |
^ Like I said...
|
| |
It's gonna be some religious slop
|
| |
Actually dead throne wasnt really god driven. It was more emotional, he wrote a lot of dead throne after his main bitch dropped his ass. This book is probably filled with more man pain than god.
|
| |
is it the bible??
:D:D:D:D:D
|
| |
"GOD...and the book is done"
Ancas + 20.
I did an interview with Mike in 2011. Every question I asked, from his musical inspirations to defining moments as a member of TDWP, was answered with "WELL GOD X and GOD Y." I just wanted to know what bands he listened to growing up, and apparently God played in the only band he's ever listened to.
Dude was a douche.
|
| |
He wasn't a douche when I met him.
|
| |
sweet. im pretty tempted to check this out
|
| |
It looks pretty cool
|
| |
lol snox
|
| |
Hahaha
|
| |
If someone calls the book 'generic', I will smack them.
|
| |
i like TDWP, but definitely not for their lyrical content. no thanks.
|
| |
^ haha yesss
|
| |
You could fit a bus through that teeth gap.
|
| |
Useless book.
|
| |
Lol how does a trailer for a book even work
|
| |
He has jesus tattooed on his hand.
what the fuck did you expect skoj?
It was a phone interview. Shit, I dunno, I've met, talked with, or interviewed various members of switchfoot, underoath, the chariot, Norma jean, mewithoutyou... Fuck, even I the breather was easier to elicit answers from. All good dudes in the aforementioned acts and were happy to talk music except Hrancia. Fuck him.
|
| |
Oh for the love of God
|
| |
"Oh for the love of God"
yes exactly
|
| |
"Most of The Devil Wears Prada's fanbase are too young to read anyway."
Didn't his original fanbase grew up and became hipsters already?
Expect this to be on the tables of every Starbucks next to a frappuccino
|
| |
I most certainly want to read this.
|
| |
Dead Throne actually has some rather deep lyrics. In the same vein as Vheissu, it dives into the metaphysical issues of religion/the absurdity of life without God.
|
| |
I believe he went for a more... personal/subjective approach on this one. Anyway, i like Mike very much. He seems like a level headed dude. The whole band actually.
|
| |
And im not christian or anything. But i do support that bands like TDWP and For Today and such go out and speak up for what they believe. As long as people are tolerant on those issues, its alright for anyone to believe in whatever. My pov.
|
| |
@ Paxman: I thought exactly the same thing haha
