SORNE Kick off Kickstarter

Austin-based trio SORNE have just started a Kickstarter crowdfunding project in order to raise funds for their upcoming album, "Ego Altar". The album is the art pop/freak folk/other group's sophomore release, and will continue the "House of Stone" narrative established in the trio's debut album of the same name. They are attempting to raise $15,000 to be spent on production, promotion, shows and exhibitions, and (presumably) supplemental artwork. Ego Altar is tentatively scheduled for release in April, 2013.

and wow, $15,000 is a very modest goal. Good for them.
I might donate when I get paid in a couple days, I like when band's do this sort of thing, especially bands whose records I am interested in hearing.

I wasn't super impressed with the single he released, but I'm still excited for the album. Too bad college kicked me in the knees with book costs, otherwise I'd donate.

Ugh their first was so damn good. Can't wait. But April is an ambitious goal for an album that isn't funded yet.

Quite a different budget than Protest the Hero were going for. Did they do full tour with TV on the Radio by the way, or was that a one time only kinda thing?
