Offspring/Dead Sara Duet

For years, The Offspring have been performing a stripped-down, piano-accompanied version of their fan-favorite "Gone Away." This past fall, while on tour with Dead Sara, vocalist Emily Armstrong would join Dexter on stage nightly.

The band has released a video of one of these performances:

I've never been a fan of the Offspring guy's voice. seems like he's always flat even on recordings.
P.S. Emily Armstrong is hot.

@jrowa001
Dexter sucks NOW? He was never a good singer, his charm even in the early days wasn't that he was a good singer.

I really like The Offspring, even their later albums, but jesus do I hate the piano version of Gone Away they've been doing the last few years.

This was pretty cool though, won't be listening to it too often though.

Gone Away was never meant to be played on a piano. It's no surprise it sounds weird with it.

Wow. The rendition of "Gone Away" is okay, but what I'm really appreciating is how this article directed me towards Dead Sara. Hard rock/pop with a female singer of her level is really a breath of fresh air. Loving their album.

Dead Sara rules, I felt the same when I discovered them last year.

jrowa001.... He could never sing very well, you didn't think he sucked, but on a purely technical level, he just kinda shouted/wailed everything.

Did I like it? Hell yeah, I did. Love Dexter's voice. But a "great singer", no.

Well, that'd make a lot more sense.
