2012-12-25 by Michael Snoxall | 13 Comments
British post-hardcore band Acres has released a new song, titled 'The Tallest of Mountains'.

The band promised to release the song once it reached one-thousand 'likes' on its Facebook band page. Now that goal has been reached, the track is available for free stream/download at the band's bandcamp: http://acresuk.bandcamp.com/album/the-tallest-of-mountains

This is a few days old, but nobody posted it so I figured I would.

They definitely seem to be heading in a much more 'screamo' direction with this single.

But don't trust my judgement.

I like it. Not sure if it's a production thing, but the sound of his voice seems to have changed.

Yeah, his voice does sound a bit different. It feels more clear, perhaps it's production.

That was pretty solid stuff. They're definitely a little more post-hardcore than post-metal now, though. Not a bad thing, just a slight stylistic difference.

I think they're building up their harmonious tendencies, which is good, because their more abrasive passages on the EP didn't work so well.

I like it, it's a bit progressive though. I did prefer the EP.

Great track. Vocals are alittle monotonous but thats barely even a complaint
