Seminal metalcore act Shai Hulud are streaming the title track to their upcoming record, Reach Beyond the Sun, which is due out in February of 2013. Reach Beyond the Sun marks the return of original vocalist Chad Gilbert, also of New Found Glory fame, to the fold.

LIYW was really influenced by Shai Hulud, but I personally think that everything LIYW has done has far surpassed SH's material. However, I will listen to this track without bias because I'm very curious as to how it will sound, though I'm not particularly a fan.

I totally understand that. That can bug me at times. Shai Hulud's vocals are very heavily dubbed, though, and it sounds very obvious which I can't stand. That's one thing I hear in SH that's not in the harsh vocals in LIYW. However, LIYW's cleans are a bit over the top at times.

Yeah Misanthropy Pure wasn't awful, but it sure as hell doesn't touch the rest of their stuff for me.
