Rumored: New Carcass Album
2012-11-30 by Darkvoid67 | 28 Replies | 1055 Views

Death metal and goregrind legends Carcass are apparently putting finishing touches to an as
yet unnamed new studio album, the band's first new musical output in 17 years. Respected
producer Colin Richardson (Fear Factory, Napalm Death, Machine Head) is the man apparently
charged with the project.
Suspicion began bubbling away in May of this year, when Michael Amott, the legendary Swedish
guitarist of Arch Enemy who also played on two of Carcass' releases and who joined them on
the road throughtout the band's reunion shows, announced his and Daniel Erlandsson's
departure from the band. In the statement, Amott revealed that "From what I hear they're
working on something new, but it's not with me. I'm not included in it. I don't know. I
don't comment".
German drummer Matthias Voight (Heaven Shall Burn) is apparently one musician involved in
the project, with the new album currently expected in the first half of 2013.

Necroticism and Symphonies of Sickness are fucking legendary. This album has the potential to be either really good or really bad, can't tell until they release something.
