cool, but he needs to record a new album with porcupine tree.
Digging: Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork

might be good
|
| |
Porcupine Tree might have to wait a while. They said they'd reconvene in 2013 but if Wilsons enjoying his solo stuff so much then it might be even later. Looking forward to the album even though Luminol was not as good as I'd hoped.

Digging: Buckingham Nicks - Buckingham Nicks

He's unoriginal dude, he ripped off Pink Floyd on early PT
|
| |
Insurgentes was perfect, grace was a snorefest, I don't have hopes for this.
|
| |
I've heard clips of Luminol live and it sounded really good. Wasn't huge on Grace For Drowning, though.

Loved Insurgentes, liked Grace, this sounds...um..."long-winded?"
|
| |
He's expanding on the jazziness and jam oriented vibes of Grace I think. But he's got a great lineup, hope h's made good use of them.

"the deluxe 4 disc edition comes in the form of a 128 page hardback book containing lyrics and ghost stories"
oh of fucking course it does, who could forget the trademark SW super limited deluxe surround sound 18 disc audiophile hardcover super digi jewel book mega 100 dollar ultra limited signature release
|
| |
His super duper deluxe packages are like ipods, they will have buyers no matter what happens.

I loved Grace for Drowning, but Luminol was a fucking boring song so I'm not really looking forward to this as much.

luminol was great
|

looks interesting. he should probably just keep doing this for a while since porcupine tree hasn't been good in ~10 years
|
| |
steve hasn't been good since stupid dream and some of lightbulb sun
|
| |
You forgot about In Absentia to Nil Recurring. No big deal though.
|
| |

im psyched

I agree though that Insurgentes was the best solo album. I like the increased presence of jazz and shit, but the mood and atmosphere of Insurgentes was the bestttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
|
| |
I've liked his solo stuff, but I feel like he's best when fusing several genres into a more cohesive whole. He went full prog...you NEVER go full prog, man.
|
| |
^ ha
but seriously cut it out
|
| |
Yeah cut it out
|
| |
So I hear the albums been leaked
|
| |
"..you NEVER go full prog, man."
Have you even heard King Crimson.
|
| |
he probably meant something along the lines of "never go full prog...unless you are king crimson"
|
| |
Makes sense.
