Austin Peralta Passes Away

Tragic and unexpected news: composer and Brainfeeder associate Austin Peralta has sadly passed away at the age of 22.
A talented up-and-coming artist, Peralta had, by the age of 16, traveled the world with his own musical trio and released two solo albums in Japan (Maiden Voyage and Mantra, respectively). Recent years had seen the young virtuoso moving into more electronic territory, with his Endless Planets album providing yet another landmark release for Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder imprint, and a true highlight in the 2011 musical calender. As well as acting as a backing musician for his label head on the latter's Until The Quiet Comes release, Peralta had also fulfilled roles for the likes of Jaga Jazzist, The Cinematic Orchestra and Erykah Badu.
Details surrounding the artist's tragic passing are, at this stage, unclear, though Flylo has taken to Twitter to express his condolences:
"It kills me to type that we lost a member of our family, Austin Peralta. I don’t really have the right words right now…we are very thankful to have had him in our lives! thankful that he left such beautiful music with us"
