Cavalera Bros/Jairo T reunion? 2012-11-20 by Philip Whitehead | 15 Replies | 1069 Views |
Three members of the original Sepultura lineup performed on stage in Belo Horizonte recently in a rendition of the classic Troops of Doom. Jairo Guedz performed lead guitar duties on Sepultura's early releases, Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation, before leaving the band in 1987 to be replaced by Andreas Kisser in what is now seen as the "classic" Sepultura lineup, which lasted 9 more years before Max Cavalera's departure.

Holy shit Jairo!!! :O I thought he'd retired from music.
|
| |
Hell to the fuckin' yeah :D Now this is news!
|
| |
More Sepultura than Sepultura. Only original members missing now are Paulo and Lamounier. But who gives a fuck about them?
|
| |
Kill art, let's fuck.

Yeah!

Best Sepultura line-up, fuck yeah
|
| |
Oh wow nostalgia striking in, even though I don't really think they have too much to offer right now
|
| |
Wait, Paulo left?!
Also, I'm not sure I'd like to see Jairo in Seps right now. His worth is more nostalgia-based than anything.
|
| |
Paulo's still in Sepultura, only original member left too. Cavalera Conspiracy, if they keep Jairo, will be way better than Sepultura now.
|
| |
Meh, still prefer the current Sepultura... at least they're doing something exciting and not repetitive.
|
| |
I'd say Soulfly and CavCon are better than Green era Sepultura. Don't think Soulfly have kept the same style for more than 3 successive albums and Inflikted was pure thrash-era Sepultura.
|
| |
only soulfly album i really like is dark ages, in their current forms i'd say sepultura is still the
strongest of all 3, there are some stinkers in the green era but i thought kairos was really good.

Also feel sorry for Derrick Green in that he's been in the band 15 years (longer than Max was) and it seems people are willing to just want cast him and all his work aside for a reunion.
|
| |
Oh yeah Kairos was good and I don't see any point in a Max/Sepultura reunion while Kisser and Paulo are happy with Green and Casagrande in the band, but I do prefer Soulfly and CavCon. Plus this Nailbomb 2 thing that's going on looks like it's gonna shit all over all 3.
|
| |
Plus if they ever do the open audition thing for a frontman again like they did to get Derrick, I'd be all over that shit.
