Digging: King Crimson - Red
|
| |
Fuck yes!
Digging: GZA - Liquid Swords
|
| |
Ya art is bad but I'm still stoked for the album
|
| |
Nah, I love the art. I mean, if you think about it it's just as minimalistic as Salvation or SAtH
Digging: Deafheaven - Sunbather
|
| |
I guess I was expecting more cause I love the eternal kingdom art
|
| |
did they just use the background for the sinister movie poster?
Digging: Faith No More - The Real Thing

Looks like my toilet.
|
| |
But EK was one of their weaker albums (still awesome, though). Could there be a correlation between art content and musical quality? If so, AOTY 2013.
|
| |
I was just talking about the art of EK not the album...
|
| |
I am aware.
|
| |
i can not wait for this album, and i hope to holy hell these guys play at least one show in NY
|
| |
i rather like the album art
|
| |
sweet
|
| |
yea the art's fine, not sure why everyone's ripping it
I actually prefer the more minimal approach, at least with these guys. provides more room for interpretation of the sounds/textures.
Digging: The National - Trouble Will Find Me
|
| |
it's not bad, I just didn't feel anything one way or another, looking at it
prob will grow to like it over time
|
| |
Great news. Pitty that the cover hasn't got any owlmans.
Digging: Immolation - Kingdom of Conspiracy
|
| |
hey, it's better than the hunter. that thing was cool as art but looked really dumb as an album cover. this will probably look great as a digipak.
|
| |
gonna be kvlt going by the artwork.
Digging: Deafheaven - Sunbather
|
| |
oh wow that is some radical artwork, not sure I'm a fan
the album will be tits mcgee tho
|
| |
sweet that album art must've taken them ages to come up with
|
| |
Guess you can't have every awesome band release something this year. Gotta save some for 2013.
|
| |
hurr, album art rules
|
| |
I like it.
|
| |
Looks like art Sunn O)) would use.
|
| |
"hurr, album art rules"
aha easy buddy, just pokin fun
album will rule
|
| |
I love the art, typically minimalistic. Will be AOTY, or definitely up there.
Digging: The Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us Is the Killer
|

It looks like something i wiped my ass on
|
| |
I dig the art. Can't wait for that U.S. tour.
|
| |
so stoked
Digging: Immolation - Kingdom of Conspiracy
|
| |
clearly it's the twin towers, but represented by bloodstained walls as people fell down clutching with their last strength. it's about the loss of free will in corporate America but our refusal to fall without putting up a fight.
|
| |
Except that the band is from Sweden.
|
| |
...way to crush my dreams
|
| |
I think the art really fits with the album being inspired by metropolis.
|
| |
"I think the art really fits with the album being inspired by metropolis."
I forgot it was makes me like the art more actually now
|
| |
Artwork is awesome. Less is more. So many albums nowadays go way over the top with covers.
|
| |
I see it now. Buildings on the top and the shadows of people walking around at the bottom.
|
| |
Holy Fuck can't wait m/!

YEEEEEEEEEEES
|

"I didn't like EK's art."
one of the best album artworks I've ever seen, liked it so much that it's on my back
|
| |
The art's cool, but I hate the colour palette for it.
|
| |
but the owl man
|
| |
So fucking pumped
|
| |
Art kinda reminds me of skyscrapers so I assume that's what they were going for.
|
| |
that makes sense. I'm already liking it more, I'm definitely seeing the skyscrapers towards the top, and people on the street or something at the bottom.
|
| |
Art is cool, what you all saying.
I love some minimalism artsy fartsy
Digging: Cerna - Restoring Life
|

They're last output has been kind of meh, we will just see how good this is.
|
| |
Their last album was not as good as their first three but it still was pretty damn good. As long as this new album has epic songs like Echoes, Genesis, Vague Illusions, Finland, or Dark City, Dead Man I will be happy.
|
| |
finally a date, these guys are a buncha dicks for delaying the album so much but i still luv them
Digging: Mouth of the Architect - Quietly
|
| |
I like the art, it's simple
|
| |

^ That.
|

Awesome. Haven't listened to anything from these guys since 'Salvation'.
Digging: Deafheaven - Sunbather

Meh output from CoL is better than most bands.
|
| |
EK was my least favorite CoL album and its still awesome
