For a minute there I got my hopes up for some new PT...
Just release a new album already.

DVD? Surprised it's not a blu-ray
"audio footage" What?
Buying the super mega ultimate deluxe whatever package for this for sure.
Do a new album that doesn't suck. This live shit is gettin' old.
Their live shit never gets old. They're fucking incredible live.
Wilson's vocals aren't the best live. And it isn't the same experience watching it on a disc.
you fucking kidding me? his vocals are fantastic live. this is the tightest live band i've heard. more live shit please. can't wait for this.
only a live cd??? but mooooommmmmmmm
about fucking time, went to this show!
Gavin is amazing live but yeah the live thing is getting old
How is anyone seriously excited for this? First off, it's not even a live DVD if you don't get the damn 'super limited special ultra deluxe edition' - the normal edition is just a live CD. And the best bit is the website claims that "fans of the band have still been clamouring for a new Porcupine Tree release. This wait ends on November 19th." Pff, like this counts. Enough live shit already!
Also, I gotta agree with someguest that although the band as a whole is great live and they have an excellent sound, Wilson's vocals are pretty weak live....I mean, the other guitarist has to sing all the difficult parts for him...
is he really outstanding at singing in the studio either though? he's just as good, if not better, live.
He hits the highs in the studio. Some pretty high highs too. Never seen him even try live...Hell, he seems to have like a 3-note range live. It bugs me is all.
I've only seen PT live once, and the Incident absolutely SLAYS live! The album is nowhere near as good as when you see them perform it live I'm glad I did.
The deluxe edition is only $21.45 USD dude lol
They're live stuff is great. Wilsons new live DVD is killer, great performances.
People who say his vocals are bad live have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. He sounds just like he does in the studio, with the only major exception being that "Trains" is down-tuned a bit.
Anyway, I will be on this DVD so I'm looking forward to it. :-P You can actually see me in one of the promo pictures for it.
Saw the incident live and it was the best show ive ever seen. so I had to order this
I'll trust you people, but I regretted getting my hopes up for a new album.
anyone got the new steven wilson dvd? his voice sounds great on that. highly recommended.
Yes Minty was just saying, it's a great dvd, totally agree.
People who say his vocals are bad live have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.
I own the Anesthetize DVD, and the vocals are crap compared to the studio releases. Crap enough to make me only watch the DVD once.
really someguest vocals sounded fine on anesjths
Was hoping for a new PT album.....how long has it been since The Incident? 4 years? Please oh mighty Steve Wilson....write new material.
Well someguest I own the same DVD and they pretty much sound exactly like the studio. I don't know what your standards are, but I don't feel like we saw the same thing.
I don't wanna hear any Ptree news anymore unless it's about an actual new album
"Just release a new album already."
Yeah because they probably have it finished and are just holding it back for kicks
Yea someguest. I also own the DVD and don't think your statement is accurate.
would much prefer a new album.
There probably won't be a new album before 2014, since Wilson will be touring with his solo band throughout 2013. Solo stuffs more interesting at the moment, looking forward to further experimentation.
