New Cradle of Filth Song 2012-09-13 by Michael B. | 49 Replies | 2045 Views |
You can now listen to and download British goth-metal act Cradle of Filth's new track, 'For Your Vulgar Delectation' from the upcoming album 'The Manticore and Other Horrors', on the website of their label Peaceville Records.

The song has already split opinion due to its apparent sound similarity to their controversial 'Thornography' album.

I LOVE ME SOME NEW-WAVE-OF-BRITISH-BLACK-METAL-PUNK-VIBE!
This band needed to die 12 years ago.
|
| |
sucks

The song was better than anything off of DDVA, but that's not saying much.

this surprisingly good actually
what the hell
|
| |
I like the song, but it's a bit of a shame they've seemingly abandoned the sound they had on Venus Aversa, that was their best album in quite some time.

weird but it sounds cool. it doesn't really sound like them, that's a good thing in my opinion
|
| |
Fade must be the first semi-elite sputniker that actually likes CoF
|
| |
i see no reason not to like them. their early stuff kicks ass and the rest is good or average
|
| |
Well, I used to get a lot of shit from people like rasputin (yea I know) for liking CoF
|
| |
dusk was k the rest suk
|
| |
well i don't know if it makes any difference but I started to listen to them after I was already into black metal, might be why I still like them
|
| |
the gothic atmosphere of the earlier albums is lost.
|
| |
"dusk was k the rest suk"
how can you say their debut sucks? or even Midian?
|
| |
I believe they're called 'opinions'.
|
| |
opinions don't exist on a fascist website that's why we can't call each other 'fags' anymore.
|
| |
that was a pretty stupid post
|
| |
Fade why are you so polite now

i like this good guy greg

this fade is kinda boring log into rifp plz
|

Song had no soul. Riff could have been good if it didn't sound so stale. Band is just an animated corpse now.

kind of soulless but otherwise not as bad as i thought it would be
really not sure why they're still making albums
Digging: Summoning - Old Mornings Dawn
|

because they're a band; it's what bands tend to do
|
| |
what the fuck is with the talk about soul god!
|
| |
The song has no emotional presence. Better?
|
| |
huh

rip pecaro

There was nothing Cradle-of-Filthy about this. It could have been any thrash band's b-side.
|

Pretty much this. DDVA was good but not quite there. I was hoping they would finally nail it with this album, but this track was kind of disappointing

Kinda true. I got into CoF in 2001 right after Midian came out. Everyone loved them back in the day. Had they actually broken up around that time, they would be a pretty respected and fondly remembered band

Intro made me baulk. Whole song made me vomit.
Digging: Purson - The Circle and the Blue Door
|

huh
There's no emotion in the music; it's just flat all around. There's no teeth to those riffs. No buzzing growl. Nothing that makes me wanna go "YEAH PUNK RIFFS. YEAH BREAK STUFF!" It's just a riff played over and over.
|
| |
It's okay, not the worst I've heard from COF
|
| |
I really enjoyed the song, kinda see why people think its Thornography ish, but thats not a bad thing, Thorn was a good album, just different from what they normally release. Really looking forward to the new album!

Although it doesn't inspire me to haunt the northern forests as a forlorn Lycan or dance under the bloodred moonlight with my vampire queen it's still not too shabby. I snapped their last album in half, I might actually not do that to this album.

"I snapped their last album in half"
Now that is what I call commitment.
|
| |
Damn that really is a good comment
|
| |
ah de cradle (^ー^)ノ
|

Honestly, I think this song is awesome. I feel like this could be their best album in years. Then again, I'm just a fanboy...

you and fade together forever (^ー^)ノ(^ー^)ノ

I thought if you ever posted in a cof thread again Hawks you'd be branded with the mark of cain?

Agreed. Any band that dies in their prime is fondly remembered.
