New Cradle of Filth Song
2012-09-13 by Michael B. | 49 Replies | 2045 Views

You can now listen to and download British goth-metal act Cradle of Filth's new track, 'For Your Vulgar Delectation' from the upcoming album 'The Manticore and Other Horrors', on the website of their label Peaceville Records.

http://www.peaceville.com/cradleoffilth/manticore/#.UFIvPY2PU4Q

The song has already split opinion due to its apparent sound similarity to their controversial 'Thornography' album.

I LOVE ME SOME NEW-WAVE-OF-BRITISH-BLACK-METAL-PUNK-VIBE!

This band needed to die 12 years ago.

The song was better than anything off of DDVA, but that's not saying much.

I like the song, but it's a bit of a shame they've seemingly abandoned the sound they had on Venus Aversa, that was their best album in quite some time.

Song had no soul. Riff could have been good if it didn't sound so stale. Band is just an animated corpse now.

There was nothing Cradle-of-Filthy about this. It could have been any thrash band's b-side.

Pretty much this. DDVA was good but not quite there. I was hoping they would finally nail it with this album, but this track was kind of disappointing

Kinda true. I got into CoF in 2001 right after Midian came out. Everyone loved them back in the day. Had they actually broken up around that time, they would be a pretty respected and fondly remembered band

There's no emotion in the music; it's just flat all around. There's no teeth to those riffs. No buzzing growl. Nothing that makes me wanna go "YEAH PUNK RIFFS. YEAH BREAK STUFF!" It's just a riff played over and over.

I really enjoyed the song, kinda see why people think its Thornography ish, but thats not a bad thing, Thorn was a good album, just different from what they normally release. Really looking forward to the new album!

Although it doesn't inspire me to haunt the northern forests as a forlorn Lycan or dance under the bloodred moonlight with my vampire queen it's still not too shabby. I snapped their last album in half, I might actually not do that to this album.
