'Legendary' Californian post-hardcore act, Confide, have started a Kickstarter to fund a new album. The band has asked for 30,000 dollars for it. Some of the prizes include, a beach party with the band, a trip to Disney Land with a member, your voice on the album, and the chance to name a song.

So if I send in between $600 - $800 do I get a MacBook?

I know, I was making fun of the stupidity of the prizes by comparing it to a parallel situation. To
think I had to spend my time explaining that to you jesus christ...

$30,000 for a half-assed post-hardcore/metalcore album, no thanks. And they're only doing 2,500 cd copies, who even pays for a digital download.

Did you guys watch the video? They broke up because they didn't want to live the touring lifestyle,
but fans everywhere were demanding they get back together, so the band figured well, if we can't tour
we can at least make a new album...but since they broke up, they don't have a record label, and thus
no money to do an album.

Asking people for money to fund your album is pathetic. Do it with a 4 track like every other poor band!
