I was there so I'm gonna be obtaining this. They didn't start their set at my show until midnight so they played an abbreviated set which was a bummer

I was at the DC show. Probably one of the best shows I've ever been to, regardless of whether I sweat Thrice or not. O'Brother and Animals as Leaders killed it as well. It was pretty wild. They tweeted that felt like an Old School Chain Reaction show. This album should rule.

I was also in the very front crowd so hopefully they are releasing a dvd version of this too. Dustin said we were one of the cities being recorded so I already knew about this, glad it's coming out soon.

"This shoulda been a DVD though and not a CD"

Agreed but I guess they felt like they had already done that. Or wanted to save money since they probably won't have much of an income for the next little while.

"Nah dude Dustin works at a church he's filthy rich"
Haha see I don't understand that, because most of my local churches pay their 3 workers less than 6 figures, don't pay their song leaders(what dustin is), and barely break even when it comes to all the benevolence stuff they do. I know some churches are money hounds, but I've yet to experience it in my Nashville bubble.

I was completely kidding. But mega-church pastors make loads of money. But let's not turn my joke into a religious thread. I wanna hear this CD

Oh I thought you were totally serious cause I hear about mega churches like Mars Hill making tons of money, but I can't relate to that at all, no exposure to it.

But yeah, I'm excited for this. Still have yet to see them live. They haven't come to Nashville in around 4 years.

You'd be surprised, the average person here hates the music that is produced in Nashville. At least the pop country bullshit.

It takes much more time to get a dvd done. If there'll be one it won't be before christmas. Live CDs aren't selling that good as it is, so they obviously don't want to wait until any momentum about their hiatus is gone.

"lots of pretty girls in sundresses, though"

Amen to that.

Megachurch employees make a ton of money, normal-sized church staff not so much. I expect Dustin makes a decent living off of it, he's more than earned it at this point.

no chance of DVD from that tour, they weren't recording any video when they came here.

Hah yes, because that's how bands do live dvd's...film every show.

One of the few bands capable of putting out a live record that's actually listenable, definitely going to get a copy of this guy.

I do sound at a venue they played on the farewell tour, they were only recording audio. Keep in mind that recording a pro multi-cam DVD shoot is really expensive ($$$$ or more) to do for even a few shows (much less a whole tour) so most bands either do audio-only or have special 'dvd-filming' shows. Basically, we'd already know about it if they were doing a concert DVD.

Thrice is the greatest band in the universe and this will surely not disappoint.

Dustin's new band on the other hand, disappoints quite a bit.
