Canadian death metal band Cryptopsy released a new song entitled "Two-Pound Torch," the
first track on their upcoming self-titled album.
The album is set to be released on September 11th.
I wonder if they picked that date to be released
pretty weak, some decent riffs fortunately enough but those vox are awful
Vocals are terribad. Music is average at best.
Death Metal vox need power. POWER, I SAY.
the other song is better, but still not very good
Never been into these guys, and the new tracks haven't changed that either
lol impervious, that was exactly the first thing i thought.
What's crazy is that Slayer released their "God Hates Us All" album on September 11, 2001. When I found that out it was like oh holy shit haha. But yeah i wonder if these fuckers think its actually cool or just picked a "random" date.
it probably has absolutely nothing to do with it whatsoever
Digging: The Future Sound of London - Dead Cities
Not that bad of a song. Music's pretty melodic, which is kinda weird to hear from this band.
Digging: Das EFX - Dead Serious
I...really don't know what I think of this....
some pretty cool parts but overall not very good. those fucking vocals are too much
Some really cool riffs, but the vocals sound like early Between the Buried and Me (which is bad)
Average song, but the vocals do suck.
song sucks and their vocals always sucked
I kinda liked this a lot. Much better than The Unspoken King. Sounds like Once Was Not with modern production and Job for a Cowboy vocals. And not a chugah chugah breakdown in sight. Will listen to the full length. Too much hate guys.
I actually really liked this

Vocals are crap, riffs are ..And Then You'll Beg quality. Not bad, if they fire the vocalist and get a good one they may be better.
song is decent.
The vocal work is grindcore. The guitar work is alright. The drums are annoying. I don't want this album to come until they get a vocalist rather than a pigs anus and the rest of the band cut the monotony
man what happened to this band lol
better than their last piece of shit
Ok, vocals aren't great, but those riffs are bad ass.
reminds me of desecravity
ruins it completely
His vocals are improving but they're still pretty meh
it wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't the same band that made none so vile, let's just be honest. album will probably be a 2
or 2.5 though. still better than the garbage from the last album.
Vocals are so bad
why did the let Lord Worm go, he fucking ruled
Do you people realize that September 11 is a Tuesday and a bunch of albums are being released that day?
riffs are pretty cool but holy shit the vocals are terribad
Digging: Radiohead - In Rainbows
yup, those vocals fucking kill it. which is a shame because musically i dig it. could they seriously not find ANYONE better than this guy? i guess he IS slightly better than last time though, maybe in another five album's time he'll be pretty good
I miss lord worm....
Digging: Blacklistt - Blacklistt
actually its not bad, thanks to Levasseur for some good riffs
but god the vocalist is just annoying as fuck
some of the riffs are actually pretty cool but the vocals are weak as fuck
Digging: Minor Threat - Complete Discography
I love how every comment, including mine, is some variation of that.
thanks santa. i hate it when people think that its on purpose that they chose a september 11th release date
how can you bros say the album is shit already? YOU HAVENT EVEN TRIED IT IN THE GYM YET
omg what is up with all the alts
The songs they released, this one and the other one, are really good. Vocals could be better but the songs are really good, thats all.
Riffs and drumming are fucking awesome, the vocals remind me of Strychnine-era Aborted, honestly. I really like it.
Music is good but the vocals are too gurgle-y.
The September 11th thing isnt that big of a deal. It was just interesting that it came up and it made me wonder if they chose it on purpose or if it just a date picked.
I'd only be a fan of this band if i was too pissed to care about how the vocals sound.
They sound like a fucking mallcore band now
Music is fucking awesome, definitely very 'Cryptopsy' which I would never say about The Unspoken King. Still, I'm jumping on the 'vocals suck' bandwagon.
Band still sucks.
Digging: Demilich - Nespithe
Isn't lord worm a school teacher or something now
That's MR. WORM to you, young man!
last i heard he was english professor, dont remember the university tho
university of canada
Can't believe I'm saying this but this song is... awesome... just... awesome! How do you go from Unspoken Queer to this!!!?
its a mystery
Digging: Stereolab - Transient Random-Noise Bursts with Announcements
unspoken queer man that's a new one
Digging: Magnolia Electric Co - Trials and Errors
Just heard the other one too.. stunned... WTF happened? I mean, I said so much shit about this band after TUQ, now I got
nothing to say... but how?
I actually like this. I think the vocals are good but uninspired.
I thought the new nile album was going to be THE most brutal thing to come out this year but calling it as I hear it:
3 new cryptopsy tunes > nile at the gates of sethu
Yeah, I've gone there!
I agree with Asteroth. Freaking beastly. It's probably the best thing they've released since whisper supremacy. And those vocals are modern deathcore standard but they don't by any means suck.
yea they do theyre like tommy rogers on self titled but somehow worse
